Our friends prepared the best cake smash with color coordinating balloons, cake, banner, and a sweet dress for a sweet girl.

There were plenty of smiles and beautiful moments between the concerned cries from the sticky mess on her hands 😅

What you don't see is the whole family behind me encouraging the laughter. Turns out the one day we met for photos, little babe didn't want to smile for the first time in his life 😅The cool thing with photos is that you capture the moment you know dearly, and then Mom and Dad get to keep the other funny moments as well.

Funny how relationship connections work— in high school I had the chance to help a woman in West Virginia learn some photoshop basics and help with a few other computer solutions. One more year and that would be a decade ago! Since then she's assisted me in having tools I need to work in the design industry and cheered me along through my education at Shepherd University, and I've photographed at both of her children's weddings (once as a second and this past month as the lead).

The Widmyer family is known in Charles Town and I must say, every individual I've met has been as welcoming as family. All the more exciting to see that family grow! Congratulations to Nick and Vina!

On the trend of important people in my life, this is a sweet moment from my sister’s wedding. Like many couples last year, there were some last minute changes that had to account for new restrictions and concerns. But, turns out having the chance to pivot and reevaluate may have proven to create a wedding more custom and true to who Ashley and Steven are.

Apparently little hairs on a baby in utero called “lanugo” are what form our fingerprints 🤓 at first I couldn’t find anything about it when I went to check, but it is indeed on the nih.gov site so 🤷‍♀️ find out for yourselves if that trivia is true!

A fun pair who got married and went on the mission field together. It’s good stuff. Find the person whose calling aligns with yours so you don’t find you’re going in two different directions later 🙌🏻

Just something other than faces 🙃Living in Annapolis has proven to be a great decision (even though it was a God-directed decision). I've found its proximity to DC and Baltimore to be a delight to access great diversity in gastronomy and photogenic locations. This azalea bonsai tree is from the National Arboretum in DC within its Bonsai & Penjing Museum.

My sister is getting married in this upcoming year, and while I get to be the maiden of honor, that means I don't get to be the photographer! But in the meantime, we will still capture fun moments.
