As soon as you get close to the Mont Saint-Michel, you can't keep from looking at the abbey rising up out of the sea. The closer you get the more impressive it becomes.

Mont Saint Michel really is magnificent. Walking to this majestic place during high tide really is an experience. Spotting the beautiful ramparts and small outhouses sitting right at the edge makes for some beautiful sights on top of what you already get by seeing this rock on its own.
