JOHN & KERRIE

After 18 years together, John & Kerrie finally made it official 🤍

They tied the knot in a beautiful, stylish (and very emotional!) ceremony at the Lakes Hotel & Spa over Easter weekend—there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

John had his childhood crew by his side, Neil & Mark have been friends since they were just 4 years old… talk about a lifelong bond!

The party continued with a little trip down to the lake in the hotel’s Bentley. Thankfully, Storm Dave hadn’t quite arrived in Windermere so we could grab some fun shots before heading back for an evening of wine, beer, laughs, and seriously good food.

18 years, one incredible day, and a whole lot of love 🤍

Patrick & Sarah & the wonderful Erin

A few pics from an intimate elopement with Patrick & Sarah at Merewood a few weeks ago - elegant, and effortlessly beautiful.

Erin, however, it would be fair to say quietly stole the show.

Armed with a Polaroid camera (I provided her with to keep her entertained), she stepped seamlessly into the role of Assistant Creative Director — instinctively guiding her mum & dad, refining poses, and directing moments with remarkable confidence and charm for an 8-year-old! I found myself almost redundant.

There’s something very special about that kind of natural eye. I have no doubt Erin has a future in the creative world — I’ll be watching with great interest to see where it takes her. This girl’s got talent (and sass!)

I'm conscious that I have neglected my Facebook account (posting mostly on Instagram), so for those who don't follow Instagram, I am determined to make sure I share my gorgeous weddings on here too. Starting with last Saturday's beautiful elopement.

The perfect day, the sun made an appearance, meaning ...
We could have an outdoor ceremony, in the beautiful Cragwood Country House Hotel gardens, framed by all the stunning spring colours of the fells.

Linda & Ken were the nicest of couples. We had a lovely little walk down to the Lake, whilst grabbing some beautiful portraits, lots of laughs on the way.

After we finished the shoot, these two had afternoon tea, then grabbed their walking boots & finished their perfect day with a walk up Wansfell.

Elopement perfection.

Jack & Ceri’s Big Day at Lancrigg!

Way back in the midst of summer and on the hottest of the year, Jack & Ceri got married!

Umbrellas were out to shelter from the sun under (yes in Cumbria!) and everyone was kept cool with ice cream, whilst the beautiful old beech tree provided much needed shade.

These two filled their day with so many personal touches – Beautiful hand-painted pictures of their favourite pubs for their tables, plenty of lacrosse sticks (they met playing at university, a bicycle theme for their love of cycling and handwritten notes & photos for EVERY guest. All this while Ceri had just finished her PhD – total wedding planning pros!

Huge shout-out to the dream team who made it all happen & worked extra hard in the heat!

NATHAN & KAREN… proposal shoot 💍

Nathan absolutely outdid himself with this stunning surprise proposal at Gilpin Lake House.

From a dreamy stay at the Lake House and a meal at the acclaimed L’Enclume, to a walk up Brantfell with views over Windermere to capture some beautiful & fun engagement shots — every detail was perfect.

This was my first time shooting at the Gilpin Lake House & I can see why it is such a special place.

Big thanks to Debra & the girls who were on holiday from Scotland having a sneaky G & T who filmed it all from their patio & provided rapturous applause!

REBECCA & NATHAN

Having neglected my socials for too long, I’m working backwards in the hope of catching up on the sharing all my beautiful couples weddings.

Starting with last Sunday — my first wedding at one of my favourite hotels, The Holbeck Ghyll. This Arts & Crafts style hotel has stunning views across Windermere and the surrounding fells. After a break from hosting weddings, they now have a dedicated wedding space – definitely one to check out if you’re looking for venues!

Sunday was incredibly special, I got to work with the amazing Caleigh (one of the best wedding coordinators I know) & my couple, Rebecca & Nathan were both from Northern Ireland – Portadown & Belfast – along with all their guests. I knew straight from meeting them it was going to be a hoolie of a day!

“Hoolie” had a double meaning because the wind was determined to join the party too. But we still made it down to the lake for some photos, and don’t worry – no wedding dresses were harmed in the making of these shots.

Rebecca (a doctor) & Nathan (a policeman) are both busy professionals who chose the Lake District for their love of the outdoors. Rebecca was hopping over rocks in her dress like a pro. Their guest tables were decorated with paintings (created by one of the guests) featuring the couple and the mountains they’ve climbed together –a beautiful, personal touch as well as the home made jam given as 'wedding favours' 🏔️
