Been working on this bad boy along with its neighbour in the sky M16, the Eagle Nebula.

Got the colors from a dynamic Suplhur (R) - Hydrogen-Alpha (G) - Oxygen (B) palette generated with Pixinisight's Pixelmath function.

Stacked in DeepSkyStacker.

Aligned and stretched in Photoshop - levels and curves.
SCNR in PixInsight to remove some green background.
Applied H-Alpha as luminance layer.
Used Starnet++ to create a starless version
Used starless to create a star mask, then reduced stars.
Some touch ups with vibrance and saturation.
