When I say I am from Pennsylvania, this is what I mean...

The forests up here aren’t just scenery — they’re something ancient, raw, and soul-shaping. If you've ever wandered off-grid in the Pennsylvania Wilds, you know exactly what I mean.

Over 2 million acres of wilderness stretch across the northern part of the state — and in some places, you can hike for days without crossing a single road.

It’s one of the few places in the East where true solitude still lives. No cell signal. Just the sound of wind through hemlocks and the beat of your own heart.

Black bears roam these hills more often than people do. You’re always being watched out here — but rarely by humans.

Some of the trees you pass are over 300 years old, and the moss-covered glens feel like walking through the pages of a forgotten legend.

When night falls, the sky doesn’t just get dark — it erupts in stars. Cherry Springs isn’t famous for nothing. The Milky Way here will stop you in your tracks.

Weather turns fast. Blue skies can break into thunder in minutes. These woods teach you to pay attention — and adapt quickly.

And every mile teaches you something: about resilience, stillness, and the kind of peace that only comes from being completely out there.

Northern PA isn’t for the faint of heart — but for those who seek something deeper, it’s a sanctuary.
Every trail tells a story. Every step is a return.

Alone is a powerful situation if you know how to enjoy your own company ✌️

One of the coolest and most unexpected parts of this photography journey has been the number of folks who recognize me when I'm out and about.

Lately, it seems to be happening more and more, and I just want to say thank you.

Whether it's a quick handshake in a parking lot, a smile across a store aisle, a conversation at a ball game, or one of those moments where we somehow end up talking about life for twenty minutes... I genuinely enjoy every bit of it.

I'm just a guy from a small town who happens to carry a camera around a lot, so it still catches me off guard when someone says, "Hey, aren't you that photography guy from Facebook?"

The support you all have shown me, my photography, my mental health advocacy, and the stories I share means more than you probably realize.

So if you ever see me out wandering around with a camera, hiking a trail, sitting at a ball game, grabbing coffee, or just living life, please don't be afraid to come say hello. I promise you're not bothering me.

In a world that often feels disconnected, those little human interactions are pretty special.

I appreciate every single one of you.
