A lone neon sign advertising cheap accommodation hangs off the curiously named "Lucky House" building in Jordan, Hong Kong.

Fun fact, I used to live in a sub-divided flat in this building for a few months. Quite a microcosm of interesting activity I can tell you!

Kodak is out, Fuji is in!

The print store has now been updated with two new products to replace the now discontinued Kodak Metallic paper options I've used for many years that you've all loved.

For standard photo prints we will now be using Fuji Crystal Archive Pearl, which brings the open edition prints in line with the same stock used for my limited edition prints sold through LUMAS fine art gallery.

Metalprints are also gone, replaced with a new option appropriately labeled "Epic Prints". These represent the finest quality of photo reproduction currently available on the market. Printed on Fuji Crystal Archive silver halide paper, these prints offer up-to 4x the resolution of a standard print, and are mounted on an aluminum composite frame that is ready to hang.

Dusk over the beautiful city of Taipei, Taiwan.

One of my favorite countries in East Asia to visit, full of amazing sights, nature and history to explore. Warm, friendly inviting people with a rich culture (and cuisine!) that have proudly built a thriving and prosperous democratic nation.

It really is about time that other western nations took a stronger stance against China's bullying and actually start recognizing Taiwan for what it actually is. A de-facto sovereign nation that deserves recognition and diplomatic ties with the rest of the world. I still believe the status quo should be kept and not for Taiwan to push for full independence, but western counties have to start opposing this ridiculous "One China" policy and push back against China's claims to sovereignty not just for Taiwan, but also for all other Asian nations who they manage to p**s off just about every other day with their activities in the South China Sea.

'Neon Noir'

Now a not too distant memory of the past, when the streets of Hong Kong were lined with rows of dazzling neon signs.
This popular spot next to Temple St night market had most of its signage removed between 2016/17.

Has been a while since I've had anything in traditional print media.
Happy to share that my image of Saigon rush hour traffic has been featured in today's Guardian UK newspaper as a double spread.

'The Great Divide'

On the border between Hong Kong and Mainland China. On one side, the rural wetlands of Hong Kong's former closed border area.

The other being the rapidly expanding and behemoth of a city that is Shenzhen.
