Cheers to 3 Years! We celebrated our third wedding anniversary with an unforgettable cruise in beautiful Ha Long Bay, Vietnam! We also came to the realization today that we’ve spent each of our anniversaries so far on different continents. This year we’re in Asia (Thailand, but celebrated in Vietnam), our second was in Europe (Rome, Italy), and our first was in North America (BC, Canada). We traveled together the first week we met, and we still are now! Who knows which continent we’ll be on for the next one!

Taiwan’s Dutch Capital - Tainan is Taiwan’s oldest city, former capital, and was founded by the Dutch East India Company! We spent our first day exploring the Chikan Tower (built by the Dutch), the Hayashi Department Store (built in the 1930s), and of course trying local street foods… because our version of travel requires incredible food! We stopped very briefly in Kaohsiung, but wish we had more time to explore!
We visited the Taoist Zuoying Yuandi Temple, took a short ferry to the Cijin District to see the black sand beaches, and watched sunset from a decommissioned military fort! 🌅

Taipei Day 1: After adjusting our eyes from our windowless Airbnb, we made our way to memorials, monuments and temples. In particular, Liberty Square and the Chiang-Kai Sek memorial left us in awe - the sheer scale of it makes you feel small. It’s an impressive landmark which once played a part in the revolutionary days!

We had an 18.5 hour layover in Tokyo, so we decided to stay at this capsule hotel - it was only $40 for the both of us! It was clean, modern, and very comfortable! New video where we show you around is now up on our channel!

New vid! 🇮🇹🍕🍝 What do you think of when you think of Rome? For us, it’s food and architecture - and there’s no shortage of world class examples for both! We got to see the Colosseum, Pantheon, and the Trevi Fountain to name a few - not to mention the many expansive piazzas!

And, well, the food… carbonara, cacio e pepe, bruschetta, pizza, and of course tiramisu - oh and plenty of wine and espresso too! It was the perfect way to spend our second wedding anniversary together! ❤️

NEW VID🚨 Ever wanted to visit Jurassic Park? Olympic National Park is probably the closest thing - just less dinosaurs 🦖 Link is in our bio!

It’s insanely beautiful, rainy, and diverse. You can visit the mountains, the beach, and the rainforest in the same day!

We visited Rialto Beach, the Hoh Rainforest, and Forks (where Twilight was filmed) on our first day.

On day two, we hiked to Marymere Falls, jumped in Crescent Lake, and hiked Hurricane Ridge. It was one of our favorite trips in the Pacific Northwest!

We’re back! And we’re picking up where we left off, in Washington! We just published a new video on YouTube (link in our bio)- of our weekend trip to the San Juan Islands, which is to this day our favorite weekend trip we’ve taken together. We saw killer whales (orcas), lighthouses, had the most incredible sunrise of our life (seriously), and also the best croissants of our life - it was amazing. We hope you enjoy!

So, where the heck have we been? We know, it’s been a while! Like, over a year! We’ve still been adventuring, more than ever actually, but haven’t been sharing - work and life kinda got in the way.

In 2021 we road-tripped the Southwest US, moved to Washington, and moved to England - it was a crazy year. In 2022 we signed for our first apartment together, and traveled around Europe - a lot. More news to come, but I’ll save that for a later post!
