One last round of the harvest dance! 🥹 It brings a warm and cozy feeling knowing that many relatives are enjoying the photos taken over the weekend. Everyone displays such vibrancy through their regalia, jewelry, headdresses, and headbands. From color coordinating with your partner, to commemorating a piece for a relative in the audience, it was well received that the community ended their day with uplifted spirits and a good sunburn. 😎

Find a photo that you find worth having on your wall? I am available to print items from any photo that I've taken!

Of course, I am very happy to have folks download and print on their own as well! Supporting my business continues my efforts to travel, book sessions, and overall keep my dream alive as a creative artist.

Aside from yearly social dances for Fairs, events, or special gatherings, the Zuni Harvest Dance is potentially the one gathering that includes the entire community to participate in song, dance, and prayer. And when relatives gather, they really do show up and show out!

Every participant wore customized attire that would often represent their given traditional name or their clan. Everyone came into the plaza looking their absolute best and most fancy! So much gratitude to every artist: seamstress, jewelry, leather work, and singers for continuing strong inspiration as generations continue to follow!

The big plaza in Zuni Pueblo was filled with relatives near and far, multiple generations celebrated a 21 Annual Zuni Harvest Dance hosted by the Zuni Healthy Lifestyle. First originating as a celebratory gathering for successful farming seasons, now shifts a new goal of maintaining good health through traditions such as dancing.

Please offer thanks and compliments to the Zuni Healthy Lifestyle team for a successful event, their amazing offerings during the throw, and their outstanding effort to continue healthy community gatherings throughout the year!

Fun fact: Jaynie is one of the first individuals who has accomplished a title as the 2018-2019 Zuni Princess.

Jaynie will be accomplishing her title reign this upcoming month. She has become an inspiring person for youth and many of us are rooting for her as she ventures her growth into the world!
