This past February I had one of the greatest honors to travel to Kauai, Hawaii to film some of the most special people in the most stunning place.
, her husband, Sean, and their two precious kiddos spent this past last year living right in Hanalei Bay. ⠀
Nial reached out to me about a film because she wanted this season of their lives documented in more than just photos; something that could help them remember the day in and day out of their lives in *SUCH* an incredible place.⠀
There is something beyond magical that I see through my lens when I am able to film the simplest aspects of daily life. I *might* just go back and add audio of Fare Bear's precious giggle... what do you think?!??

I just adore this sweet family. Madi asked if I would come film her 3 kids meeting their new baby brother for the first time! Ummm…. YES!!! This film is a combination of that first meeting and 3 months later!!

Took a spin in front of the camera to remember how my clients feel.

Tips when you are being photographed...⠀⠀

𝘾𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙖𝙣 𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙛𝙞𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙; if you dont feel comfortable-it will be something you see in the photos.

𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝙛𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙨; 𝙘𝙤𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙚-𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗧 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝; start with one patterned item & pull colors for everyone from there.

𝘾𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙖 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙧 𝙥𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩; think tones. Never choose one matching color (see above).

𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙝𝙤𝙢𝙚; if your family room isnt pink leopard-you prob dont want to dress in it.

𝙎𝙠𝙞𝙥 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙤𝙨-𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘; they are distracting.

𝙈𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙡𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙩𝙮𝙡𝙚 𝙛𝙞𝙩𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙫𝙞𝙗𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣. 𝙊𝙧 𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙤 𝙤𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙛𝙪𝙣. **see pic above😉⠀

𝙊𝙥𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙮; when i photograph my clients-my goal isnt to update the picture frame. It is to capture something so special that you cant ever bring yourself to "update" it. Save trendy for the 8x10 school pics. SO much more fun to look back & laugh at.😂

𝙇𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙤𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙨 𝙢𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩; I LOOOVE flowy dresses. They help to create such a gorgeous visual appeal in photographs.⠀

𝙇𝙚𝙩 𝙢𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥 𝙮𝙤𝙪; you hired me for a reason. i 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘 helping you piece items together. I also have a “client closet" that you (or your littles) are always welcome to.

𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙥 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 & 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙛𝙪𝙣; no matter what you choose to wear, how perfect your outfits are, how gorgeous a location is...photographs are about the feelings within them. If you spend your session scowling - disciplining your toddler - fighting with the hubs - worried about how your arms look...you simply wont like your images.

𝘽𝙐𝙏-if you are 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁, focused on 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚, and having 𝗳𝘂𝗻...your images will be amazing♥️ I promise.
