Would you believe it was storming an hour before these photos were taken?

Because wedding days don't always care about the plan, especially in Ohio.

The weather changes. Timelines get pushed. Someone takes longer getting ready than expected. The location you planned to use suddenly isn't an option.

And you shouldn't have to spend your wedding day worrying about whether we're still going to get beautiful photos.

That's my job.

Your wedding photographer isn't just there to take beautiful pictures when everything goes according to plan. You should be able to trust them when it doesn't, too.

They don't have to happen in a field.

You don't have to spend an hour staring lovingly into each other's eyes.

And you definitely don't have to choose a location just because you've seen other couples take pictures there.

Think about what the two of you actually enjoy doing together.

THAT'S where we start.

When your session gives you something to actually do together, you stop thinking so much about the camera and start interacting with the person you love.

In fact, "I like pictures like these, but I have no idea where we would take them" is something I'm MORE than happy to hear.

I'll help find the location, think through the lighting and timing, and figure out how we can take the ideas saved on your phone and make them feel like YOU.

"I want professional photos, but I have NO idea how to pose."

Perfect. You don't need to.

You don't need to practice where to put your hands. You don't need to memorize poses from Pinterest. And you definitely don't need to stand silently in front of my camera wondering what you're supposed to do next.

I'll give you direction when you need it, but some of my favorite photos happen when I tell people to relax, talk, walk around, laugh and interact with each other.

Knowing how to pose isn't your job.

Showing up is.

It's been a little quiet around here, but behind the scenes, life has been anything but. 🤍

Over the last year, I've became a mom, and it has completely changed how I approach my photography.

Life moves SO quickly. The little moments you think you'll remember forever change before you even realize they're changing. I've found myself reaching for a camera more often, wanting to document the laughs, the tiny details and all of the happiness tucked into everyday life.

And it's reminded me exactly why I love doing this for other people.

So as I start sharing here again, you're going to see a little less "look at this pretty picture I took" and a lot more about how I can help YOU capture whatever season of life you're in.

Graduating. Getting engaged. Planning your wedding. Updating family pictures. Celebrating an anniversary. Hosting an event. Or simply realizing that life right now is worth remembering.
