In 2013 a good friend of mine passed away, but before she did she encouraged me to do something ONLY for myself. She asked me to be selfish and spoil myself. Being a mom, I hadn't thought about ONLY myself in a very long time! I found this to be a very challenging thing she asked me to do. I decided my selfish act would be to buy an amazing camera. I have always loved photography and had always wa
nted a camera I could operate in manual mode. However, that was an extravagant purchase in my opinion and I was never able to justify spending the money on something like a "nice camera." With her help, this was something I was finally able to do. My love for photography has only expanded and continued to grow since purchasing my camera. I love taking pictures of friends and family. This is a great hobby and something that lets me help other people. Who doesn't love a nice picture of their kids laughing?! Thank you all for letting me be a part of your lives and continuing to grow in my photography. Every picture I take is in memory of my dear friend who made this possible for me. I named myself Poppy Hill Photography because poppies were her birth flower and she loved poppies. I hope she knows how thankful I am for her help and words and that she will always have a place in my heart.
