A summer afternoon spent exploring Peaks with Julia + Don. Enjoying ice cream, the late day sun, and connecting in the grass.

From where they live in New York City, Julia + Don have a habit of biking to Central Park and laying in the grass, chatting and laughing until nightfall. Knowing these little things about you and your favorite things to do together can often play into your photographs, and it’s just one reason why I ask questions to get to know you.

Excited to be back on Peaks to document their wedding in September!

Such a dreamy day for Rachel + Nat, despite the rain plans.

Something I kept hearing in toasts and words from their loved ones was that Rachel + Nat are old souls, with a timeless romance of a bygone era. Their design set the tone beautifully to bring forth artfully nostalgic textures and layered florals draped among a curated collection of antique books from Nat’s late mother.

We may not have enjoyed a golden hour, but the glow of candlelight lent a warmth for guests to gather over a family-style feast, flipping through aged pages and delighting at their library card-inspired place setting.

What a narrative they crafted, so undeniably Rachel + Nat.

It’s so easy to love on Jill + Colin.

I adored their celebration — not because of its undeniable beauty, but because Jill + Colin were fully present and immersed in every moment with all of their people. They took a walk during dinner to spend a moment alone, taking in the views with each other. They stopped to admire their tribute display, and smiled at the frames of loved ones who couldn’t be there with them. So many little moments like these that were not scripted or forced in any way by their vendor team — they just happened, because Jill + Colin made it so. It sounds like a simple thing, but not every couple is as intentionally grounded and present in the in-between moments.

The day felt like a beautiful series of inhales and exhales. I’m so grateful to have been a part of it.

It’s not often I get the pleasure of photographing a brunch wedding, and when Marisa + Michael reached out about their intimate celebration in Rockland, it was an easy yes. I love cozy, down-to-earth celebrations like these. A beautiful reminder to stray from tradition when it feels right and curate an event that feels like you.
