I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Jamie and Paul for this photoshoot, and getting to see where all the magic happens at Closets By Design in Bartlett, IL

Patti Noble's article is a glimpse into what stepping away from corporate life and taking over a franchise actually looks like. And who doesn't want custom closets and a garage makeover? Count me in!

Photographing people in the spaces where they actually do the work is one of my favorite things to do. You get the real person, in their element, surrounded by what they've built.

It was a pleasure to create the photography to accompany Patti's article. Thank you, Patti, and Crystal Lake City Lifestyle magazine, for the opportunity to create the photography for this.

I don't think I've ever laughed this much with a team of financial consultants.
Meet The Cornerstone Financial Group Inc., a Crystal Lake firm that has spent three decades helping families build generational wealth. Here are a few from the library of images we created together: polished individual headshots and some cohesive group portraits.

We started in my studio, then headed out into downtown Crystal Lake. And that's where their personality took over.

I mentioned that one of the alleys downtown would make a great band cover photo. It reminded me of a shot a fellow photographer once made. No sooner had I said it than the sunglasses came out and the whole team piled into the alley. Take a look at that one. It still makes me smile.

Spending the day with Mark, Caleb, Ian, and Sue is a day I'll always remember. When I visited their office, the walls were covered with photos of family and friends, and that says everything about them. Friendly, warm, genuinely fun.

It was my absolute pleasure to create images for their website and advertising. This is what a team branding session can be: professional images and a genuinely fun experience.

Part of my job is mind reading.

When Kelli Porcaro contacted me, she had a clear concept in her head and a pretty quick turnaround. She was launching The ONE Planner, her faith-centered planner. Its tagline: "Aligning your day with the ONE who gives it meaning." She just needed someone to pull that vision out and make it real.

We started with a call where I learned everything I could: her personality, her audience, the aesthetic, the energy she wanted people to feel. Then I got planning. ✨

Our shoot day was incredibly fun. Multiple locations, a lot of laughing, and images that came out exactly as Kelli had imagined. We also shot professional video she could overlay with text and use however she wanted.

Seeing this gorgeous planner out in the world, I couldn't be happier.

💚 We need your help! 💚

The Crystal Lake Food Pantry is working on a special project and is seeking donations to make it happen.

We’re looking for 300 of each item (and 600 bouillon cubes) to support families in our community:
🥫 Red kidney beans
🥕 Canned sliced carrots
🍅 Canned diced tomatoes
🍲 Bouillon cubes (chicken or beef)
🥔 Instant mashed potatoes (4 oz)
🍗 Gravy packets (chicken or turkey)
🧂 Boxed stuffing mix
📦 Gallon-size Ziploc bags

📍 Donations can be dropped off at the pantry marked “Special Project” by July 1st. The food pantry is located at 42 East St, Crystal Lake.

Every item donated helps us serve our neighbors with care and dignity. Thank you for showing up for our community! 💚
