Meet Violet ✨ | Skidmore-Tynan Class of 2027

Violet absolutely KNOCKED her first Senior Spotlight session out of the park.

She came into her session a little nervous and unsure — mostly just wanting to make sure she looked okay. And honestly? I think so many seniors can relate to that.

We live in a world of selfies where you can see yourself, adjust the angle, take another one, and know immediately what you look like. Being in front of someone else’s camera is completely different. You have to let go a little bit, trust the process…and trust me.

And that is exactly what Violet did.

We talked. We laughed. We moved around. Shoes came off. She laid back on the dock, walked into the water, and somewhere along the way I watched those nerves disappear. Her mom even mentioned that she could tell how relaxed Violet was with me — and that meant more to me than she probably realized.

Because THAT is what I want for my seniors.

I don’t just want beautiful pictures. I want you to feel comfortable enough that I get to photograph you.

Violet and I talked about senior year, college applications, acceptance letters, decisions about where she might end up next year, and all those exciting little butterflies that come with realizing life is about to change in a really big way.

And this is only the beginning of her story.

I cannot wait for our next session — and maybe by then we’ll get a little hint of where Violet is headed next. 😉

Miss Lexi. 🤍

One of my first Senior Spotlight girls to have her full senior session, and this one reminded me why I love senior photography so much.

Mom was right there doing all the mom things—watching, helping, fixing the little things, and taking it all in. And Grandma surprised me by coming along too. At the end of the evening, she gave me the biggest hug, and I don’t think she realized how much that meant to me.

Because that’s what all of this is really about.

I could have shared the biggest, prettiest smile tonight—and trust me, Lexi has one. But I kept coming back to this one.

The gorgeous hair. Those beautiful freckles. Those big brown eyes. Just Lexi.

And maybe a little bit of what Mom and Grandma still see when they look at her—their little girl, somehow already a senior, getting ready to spread her wings and head off to college.

These years go so fast. And sometimes it’s the quiet photographs that end up saying the most. 🤍

Some things you wear a little prouder.

A letterman jacket. Your school. Your accomplishments. And the name on your back that carries roots, family, tradition, and a whole lot of memories with it.

Oshel.

There was something about this quiet moment that I loved. No big pose. No big smile. Just a young man standing on a field that has been part of his story, taking it all in.

These are the photographs I think become more important with time.

Because one day, the season ends. The jacket gets hung up. The field looks a little different.

But the name, the memories, and everything it took to get here — those stay. 🏈

Melaila brought ALL the props, ALL the shine, and ALL the sparkle to her Sinton senior session. ✨

I absolutely loved watching Mama right there beside her, helping get every little detail just right while we laughed, fought that crazy wind, and made some pretty sweet memories along the way.

We got SO many different looks during this session, but these two might just be some of my favorites. 😍

I’ll let Mama share some more from this beautiful girl’s gallery.

Junior year looks pretty good on you, Melaila. ✨

Sometimes you really don’t need much. 🤍

A jersey, a football field, and a girl who was completely comfortable just being herself.

I don’t get a lot of volleyball players in front of my camera, so this was something a little different for me—and I loved it. 🏐 She was so natural and easygoing, and honestly, that was all we needed to capture a little piece of this season of her life.

And Mama… I saw you watching. 🥹 There’s always something about the way a mom watches her baby during these moments. Taking it all in, probably wondering when in the world she got this grown.

Such a sweet family and such a fun little change of pace for me. I definitely need more volleyball girls in front of my camera. 🤍

I'm starting to get pretty familiar with Mathis territory, and one thing I’ve learned—there’s a whole lot of Pirate pride here. ❤️🏴‍☠️

You can see it in the way everyone shows up. Parents, little ones, family and friends. There’s so much happening behind the scenes—everyone gathering, smiling, laughing, reminiscing and taking in those last moments all together.

These four young men will walk onto that field Friday night knowing their people are right there in those stands, cheering them on.

It makes me happy knowing I get to be a small part of that for a little while. To freeze time, have some fun and make some really cool memories for these families to hold onto.

Because I’m right there with you, Mama. I’m in those stands too—watching, cheering and trying to hold onto every last moment. ❤️

Friday night lights. Pirate pride. And a whole lot of memories.

Pirates, your gallery is coming soon. More memories to hold onto. 🏴‍☠️

You see a football player.

His parents see their son.

A young man with his whole future in front of him—and a little boy they’re trying to hold onto for just a little while longer.

Senior year goes fast. Faster than you think it will.

So grab the truck keys. Grab the fishing pole. Go to his favorite spot. Let him wear the boots he always wears, bring the dog that goes everywhere with him, stand beside the truck he’s spent way too much time and money on. 😂

These are the things that tell his story.

And that’s where I come in.

I don’t just want to photograph what your senior looks like right now. I want to capture who he is right now—the things he loves, the places he goes, and all those little pieces of him you’re going to miss more than you realize.

Because one day, you won’t just see a football player in these pictures.

You’ll see your boy on the edge of everything that comes next.

And for just a second, you’ll get to have this time back. 🤍

Let’s freeze it a little longer.

The start of their last first day. 🥹

To all my TEAM27 senior mamas — thank you for trusting me with this chapter. And sharing these photos with us.

May this be a season y’all hold onto forever and one day look back on with the happiest tears. Together, we’ll make the best memories, celebrate all the little moments, and try our best to slow down time.

Here’s to the beginning of an unforgettable senior year. 🤍

Meet Averie 💕 | Class of 2027

I’m so excited to have this beautiful young lady in front of my camera for her senior year!

Averie is a senior at Banquete High School and a proud Bulldog. I actually got to meet her and her mom last year during her cheer mini session, and these two are seriously the best mother-daughter duo. I love how they laugh together, pick at each other, and just know how to have a good time.

Over the summer we’ve shared stories about traveling and life, and at Averie’s first team session, Mom was right there—watching, laughing, smiling, capturing behind-the-scenes photos and videos and taking it all in. Those are the little things I love getting to witness during senior year, too.

And Averie… that smile! 😍 It’s gorgeous, but her personality is what really makes her radiant. She has such a beautiful energy about her. I love how she goes for her own style, jumps right into an idea and gets genuinely excited about what we’re creating together.

I already know we’re going to have so much fun telling her senior story this year, and I cannot wait to see what we create next. 💕

Class of 2027: Very limited spots are now available for seniors wanting fall + spring sessions. If you’ve been thinking about getting on my calendar, now is the time to reach out!
