FYI to our clients & friends - I’m taking some much-needed time off this week. 🌴

I’m excited to explore new places with my fiancée, recharge, and find some fresh inspiration. I’ll be checking messages and emails periodically, but responses will be a bit slower than usual. (It’s my birthday week so I may be celebrating!).

Today (9/24/26) marks two years of Ivy Creations. 💚

It’s kind of wild to think about how much has happened in that time... so many websites, brand kits, logos, photos, ideas, collaborations, and projects in general!

What I’m most grateful for is the trust people have placed in me and my work. Getting to help small businesses, eco-friendly companies, and mission-driven organizations bring their ideas to life is why I started Ivy Creations in the first place.

Thank you to every client, collaborator, friend, referral, and person who has supported Ivy Creations over the past two years. It genuinely means so much.

A little live music magic with Ava Valianti Music at The Music Hall Lounge in Portsmouth. 🎶✨

I’ve had the privilege of photographing Ava for a while now, and it’s been so special to watch her grow as an artist. She’s developed into such a soulful & talented musician with a presence that feels completely her own. And seeing that evolution through my camera has been pretty incredible.

This night was especially fun to capture: the stage lights, the band, the energy in the room, and Ava totally owning the stage (as usual!). And her red dress against the blue and purple lighting? A photographer’s dream. ❤️💙

Possibly the 𝓼𝔀𝓮𝓮𝓽𝓮𝓼𝓽 branding shoot I’ve done. 🍦🚲

Meet The Frosty Pedal— a mobile dessert company bringing handcrafted ice cream treats to weddings, parties, corporate functions, community events, and just about any celebration you can think of — all from a vintage-inspired ice cream bike.

The owner, Denise, handcrafts each of her ice cream creations, making the experience feel just as special as the treats themselves. 🍨

The goal of the photoshoot: capture imagery that feels just like The Frosty Pedal — nostalgic, welcoming, playful, and made for a perfect New England summer day.

I (Kate) had the opportunity to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Horn Pond Fish Passage in Woburn — a project that will improve access to spawning habitat for river herring while creating opportunities for the community to experience & learn about the ecosystem right here at Horn Pond. 🌿🐟

Ivy Creations was selected and contracted by the Mystic River Watershed Association and the City of Woburn to design the educational signage that will be installed as part of the project. Getting to stand at the site, hear from project partners and Mayor Concannon, and see construction officially underway made this project feel very real.

The completed fish passage will include viewing areas, an underwater viewing window, and interpretive signage (designed by Ivy) that will help visitors better understand the fish migration, local ecology, and the importance of protecting this watershed.

Projects like this are exactly why I started Ivy Creations. My goal has always been to use my thoughtful design and communication skills to support environmental causes.

I can’t wait to see the finished project — and our signs — become part of Horn Pond. 💚

Yes..... I (Kate) turned my cats into watercolor illustrations for my wedding website. 😸

Meet Tilly and Stanley.... the unofficial VIPs of my wedding next year. 🧡

When designing my wedding website, I knew I wanted it to feel personal to my fiancee and me. So instead of relying on stock imagery and templates, I turned photos of our two orange cats into custom watercolor illustrations using Photoshop and other graphic design programs.

Throughout the website, these illustrations appear in different ways. Some are simple watercolor accents, while others are subtly animated GIFs that bring the pages to life. (The sticker-style versions you're seeing here were something I created after as a fun way to showcase the artwork!)

Often, it's the thoughtful and custom details that transform a website from something generic into something memorable.
