Labor Day Weekend is approaching soon in Iowa & that means the 2026 Blairstown Sauerkraut Days Fall Demolition Derby is just around the corner in Blairstown, Iowa on Saturday September 5, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.!

RSP LLC (Redneck Style Promotions LLC) will be returning & hosting the annual Fall Demolition Derby!

‼️Attention Drivers‼️
For the Blairstown Fall Show: ☆Bumper Swap class we will be allowing 2 plates per rail 4x6 1/4 inch plate NO stacking of plates NO teepeeing plates, NO folding plates must be in single plate form and ON frame damage only 1 inch gap between plates can't connect body to subframe.

☆Mini Vans we will be allowing 1 plate per rail 4x6 1/4 inch plate on frame damage only NO teepeeing plates.

☆Registration Ends at 4:00 p.m. If not registered by that time a $25.00 late fee will added!
☆Must be inspected for the 1st time by 4:00 p.m.
☆Retech by 4:30 p.m.

Good Thursday evening Gear Headers & Gear Headettes,

Janet & I went down to Wichita, Kansas last weekend to see the kids & grandkids and to celebrate her birthday! While we were out about I capture these photos!

The 1st 2 photos are of a Mud/Mega Truck at Reliable Auto Car Lot in Derby, Kansas!

The next two photos are Janet & I with YouTuber Westen Champlin from Winfield, Kansas who is an entrepreneur and creator of unusual and humorous vehicular adventures on YouTube! We have been a fan of Westen from the very begin when he built a Ford Mustang with a 5.9-liter 12-valve diesel inline-six Cummins swapped in it called "SmokeStang"! While we were walking around the Cowley County Fair on Friday July 31, 2026 we spotted Westen in the food court and asked to have our picture taken with him! The last few pics are of a really neat 50's car we saw at Sam's Club parking lot in Wichita, Kansas! I'm not sure what kind of car it was because all the badges were removed from the body!

Good Wednesday morning Gear Headers & Gear Headettes,

This past weekend, Friday July 31 thru Sunday August 2, Janet & I made a trip to Wichita, Kansas to see the kids & grandkids that we hadn't seen for quite awhile.

Since we were down there & it's County Fair Season we decided to go to the Cowley County Fair on Friday July 31st & catch the FWD & RWD Figure 8 Races & the Bone Stock Demolition Derby class!

They had a packed house in the grandstand that night to watch all the wild action on the track! I must say Kansas figure 8 racing is totally different than Iowa figure 8 racing with lots of aggressive driving which makes it very wild & fun to watch! They had a really good car county for the 2 classes!

They had 12 Bone Stock Demolition Derby cars battle it out at the end of the night!

Good evening Gear Headers & Gear Headettes,

Janet & I are feeling as excited as Darrell Waltrip when he says "Boggity, boggity, boggity, let's go racing boys!" when the green flag drops for this weekend races at Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa

Last week I enter a contest on Facebook on the Iowa Corn page to win a pair of tickets for the NASCAR Cup Series Iowa Corn 350 & commented who I would take with me to the race which was my wife Janet who loves NASCAR as much as I do!

Well over the weekend I was notified by Iowa Corn that I actually won a whole weekend package for all 4 races which includes:

Schedule of Events

🏁Friday, August 7, 2026: JR & CO 150 ARCA Menards Series race at 6:00 p.m.

🏁Saturday, August 8, 2026: Hy-Vee Perks 250 NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series race at 4:00 p.m.

🏁IOWA 100 USAC Silver Crown Series race at the conclusion of Hy-Vee Perks 250 race around 8:00 p.m.

🏁Sunday, August 9, 2026: IOWA CORN 350 powered by Ethanol NASCAR Cup Series race at 2:30 p.m.

Were both stoked because we have never been to an NASCAR Cup races before in person! We just watch them on TV when we can on regular TV. It's always been on our bucket list to someday attend one!

Hurry up Friday & get here we're ready for a funfilled weekend of racing!

We'll be cheering on #8 Sammy Smith from Johnston, Iowa in the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series race & #9 Chase Elliott in NASCAR Cup Series race!
