As many of you know, our journey to our children wasn’t easy. When we finally did get pregnant, we didn’t really do a ton of the things that most people do, including taking maternity photos. Ohhh how I wish we had! It was tough, but it was such a sweet season! I love looking back at pictures of my bump, remembering the thoughts I had of what it would be like to meet our son!
We’ve taken those big emotions we have and begun shooting more maternity photos for others so they can have those precious memories the way we wish we did! We absolutely love these shots we got of our friend Emily and her cutie baby boy in her belly! We’re also so grateful to the sunset for SHOWING UP!
We will be taking on more photo sessions so if you’re interested in new headshots, family portraits, fur baby sessions, or maternity and newborn portraits then we’d love to be considered!

We love golden hour, but there’s something so magical about the quietness of blue hour. It feels intimate. With just enough light to illuminate each other, the rest of the world falls away for a moment.

We absolutely love when our grooms lean into their emotions. Ryan’s reaction to his stunning bride was so so beautiful, and we still get weepy just thinking about it. We had to give it a space on the grid for anyone else who needs a little happiness in their day!

David + Lauren are two of the most authentic people we’ve met, and the genuineness in their love towards each other shined through brighter than the sun (who made a surprise appearance after a stormy day)! They kept each other in perfect focus as their day unfolded, and we felt so blessed to be a small part of it.

They have such a love for old movies, and we loved all of the nods to them throughout their wedding. It was so much fun to use our Super8 to capture some of their day on film to add to their own timeless movie! We have felt so inspired in so many ways!

For World Photography Day, we wanted to share some of our favorite photos that we’ve taken just for ourselves of each other (and Leo of course). They all have a different style and edit.

Photography is more than just what camera you’re using and what LUT you toss on your photos. It’s HOW you use that camera, it’s finding whatever light you have and taking advantage of it, it’s understanding your subject, it’s the detail and time spent editing, and it’s a true art form that brings so much value to our present, our future, and especially our past…but mostly, it’s about capturing a single moment inside of a story. It’s all about the story.

We had a blast with .montgomery + (and of course sweet Crew) at Kelly Park!
It started as a foggy, moody morning and turned into the most beautiful day!
