Hi, Iām Beth! Iām a mom of four, a psychology student, a former healthcare worker, and a lifelong lover of all things creative. Photography was my very first passion. I started my first photography business in 2013 at just 18 years old, camera in hand and zero fear in my heart. Life took me on a few fun detours along the way, including owning a bakery in Upstate South Carolina, but Iāve always found my way back to the magic of storytelling through photos.
Iām an Upstate SC native, but my family and I recently traded mountains for country roads when we moved to Wingate, North Carolina in the summer of 2025. Weāve fallen in love with the slower pace, the small town charm, and the community that already feels like home.
As a mom of four, I deeply understand how precious family photos are. The seasons fly by, the kids grow faster than weāre ready for, and the little moments we think weāll never forget somehow slip through our fingers. I also know what itās like to try wrangling kids into outfits, keeping faces clean, and convincing everyone to look at the camera at the same time. Itās chaotic, hilarious, and so beautifully real.
One of my favorite reminders of why I do what I do comes from a photo from my very first family session. Back then, my technical skills were still developing, but my enthusiasm was full force. The Dad arrived a little grumpy, as many do when they know theyāre being dragged downtown for āpicture day,ā and I was struggling to get those genuine, happy smiles. Feeling a little overwhelmed, I casually joked that maybe someone should lay across everyoneās laps. Dad immediately took the opportunity, stretched himself out over the whole family, and the giggles and squeals that followed completely transformed the session. That photo is still one of my favorites. It reminds me that the perfect moment is often just one silly idea away when everyone relaxes and embraces the experience.
Thatās why Iām passionate about creating sessions that feel fun, natural, and stress free. I want to capture the real stuffāthe tiny hand squeezes, the shy smiles, the belly laughs, and the love that shows up in between the poses. The perfectly posed photos are lovely, but the magic is in the moments that happen when you let your guard down and just be yourselves.
