Stepped out of my comfort zone for these. Editing and posing 🥹

I have had my eye on this wall since I was like 16 and always thought it was the cutest spot for a shoot and was on my way home after a session and was like "ya know what? I have my camera with me and a few props.. let me call Jesse and see if she is busy and lets see what we can do" She had just started to get ready so it was perfect timing.🤩

On the way, I gave myself 3 creative constraints: 1) use whatever props I already had in my truck. 2) Call Jesse and hope and pray she was available. 3) Finally use this wall I have been eye balling since I was 16 😂

Okay.. it has taken me FOREVER to finally share these. 😂🤍

There’s something surreal about looking back at where I started and realizing how far this little business has taken me and continues to take me.

When I first started photographing weddings, I dreamed about one day taking my camera somewhere completely unfamiliar and documenting a love story somewhere that felt like a whole different world.

But I made a promise to myself that I wouldn’t advertise destination weddings until I had actually photographed one. I wanted to know that I could confidently handle the travel, the logistics, the timeline and everything that comes with documenting one of the biggest days of someone’s life somewhere completely new.

And then Montana happened 🤍

I’m so incredibly grateful to my couple Sophie & Adam for trusting me enough to bring me all the way from Tennessee to Montana to document such an intimate and beautiful part of their story.🥹 They believed in my work enough to take me along for the adventure and I’ll never take that trust for granted. Like ever lol

Montana was more than just a destination. It was the first time I got to see what this little business could look like beyond home and I loved every second of it!!

I’m ready for more places, more stories, more mountains, more elopements and more wildly beautiful days that take me far from home. ✈️🤍

Destination weddings + elopements are officially on my books!!
