Christmas present just arrived from Southern California! ππ΄π
I recently found out that a good friend of mine in California had passed away. He was a car collector and had the same love for early cars that I do. I was honored to have the opportunity to receive one of his cars, just in time for Christmas!
This is a 1915 Ford Model T Roadster with several period correct aftermarket pieces. The most noticeable are the red wheels, known as Disteel wheels (still digging into the history on those). It also has the frosted looking headlamp lenses, coil springs on the front and rear, and even a key switch, which wasnβt something these came with from the factory.
It looks like the car has been sitting for a few years, so Dad and I will go through it before trying to fire it up and see what it needs. From a quick look over, it appears to be a very nice and correctly restored car. Canβt wait to get it washed up and take it for a ride.
More to come on this Model T. Welcome to your new home in the Benton Collection!
Huge thanks to my buddy Bob Lancaster for helping line up the cross country shipping and receiving it for me. ( plus helping me load it into my trailer in the rain while using my other 15 roadster to pull it in.) lol
See yall down the road!
