I’m in love with the way Anna & Joe wanted to capture their family now that baby boy #3 is here - on their farm, in the stillness of the morning, letting the boys be 100% in their element 🤍

We didn’t anticipate 95 degree days and humidity in September, but you can’t even tell - they are pros at this 😂

A little conversation I feel is important to have as a photographer who captures a lot of families and little ones. 🤍

There’s a lot of conversation happening right now about AI, images of children, and what is or isn’t constitutionally protected when it comes to the use of our images online. I’ll be honest, I’m still doing my own research and learning about what all of this means and how it may continue to evolve.

But there is one thing I don’t need to research or question:

If you ask me not to share your child’s images online, I will honor that. 100%. No questions asked.

Yes, as the photographer, I hold the copyright to the images I create. But that right will never mean more to me than your desire to protect your child and your family.

The internet can be an incredible place, but it can also be a dangerous one. And as a mom, a photographer, and someone who captures so many of your most precious memories, I understand why some families are becoming more cautious about what they put out into the world. We simply don’t know yet how AI will continue to change the digital world our children are growing up in.

I’m still figuring out what this may look like for my business moving forward. Maybe that means sharing more faceless images. Maybe it means being even more intentional about what I choose to put on social media. I don’t have all the answers yet.

But I do want you to know this:

Your family’s privacy will always be respected here.

If you’ve asked me not to share your child’s face - or not to share their images at all - you never have to worry about explaining yourself or feeling like you’re being difficult. Your wishes are enough.

Your images are safe with me.

And truly, I am so incredibly honored every time you trust me to step into your family’s life and document these little seasons for you. Whether I get to share those memories with the world or they stay tucked safely in your family’s own photo gallery, it is still a privilege I don’t take lightly.

Thank you for trusting me with your memories. 🤍

Still kicking my feet and squealing over these BTS pictures that Madison captured for me 🥹

In other news, I don't have my fall calendar open quite yet! I'm finding myself with very full days right now and school hasn't even started back yet. 🫣 I want to make sure I'm giving my families and couples who are already on my calendar my full attention, but still be a present mom as well. This is our first year with a child in sports as well as LOTS of travel weddings so managing that is and will be a learning curve!

I don't love posting an editing queue, that has just never really been my thing, but I'm currently on track for all galleries 🫶🏻

Emails are another story 🤪 and I'm currently trying to find a better way to manage conversations!

I appreciate your patience as I adapt, make changes, and keep creating!

I'll make fall and Christmas announcements here first, so keep checking back! 👀

Just all in my feels with all of these maternity and newborn sessions this summer 🥹 Time doesn't keep and it all goes so fast. So thankful I could freeze this moment for Noah & Karli - what a journey it has been to be here right now, but may images like this always bring them back to this chapter 🤍

My friend Emma asked me about doing a session in her son’s bedroom to just capture him with all of his favorite things. I instantly teared up at the thought that his is childhood bedroom, a place his mind will wander back to when he’s adult. It’s a place filled with love, imagination, and joy.

The days can be so long and the constant routine of things often keeps us from soaking up these sweet moments and places in time. How sweet is it that he will forever have images that will transport him back to this place in his heart no matter where life takes him? 🥹

I don’t know if she expected me to ask him to have a full on popcorn fight with me (sorry Emma about the mess 👀) but it felt right 😂

So guess what I’m making my kids do in the next month or so once they clean their rooms.

I think this should become series, no? 🥹

In-home sessions are becoming one of my favorite things to capture. 🤍

There’s just something so special about freezing memories within the walls where so much love lives. I love when little ones pull their favorite books off the shelf or drag their favorite toys across the floor. These aren’t just props—they’re the little pieces of childhood that mean something. One day, they’ll become sweet reminders of this season of life for both you and your children.

Time doesn’t stand still, but photos do. 🤍

Quick PSA for anyone who wants to start booking late summer sessions, I just had an email asking a super good question, so just wanted to share on here really quick!

If you visit my booking link you'll notice that auto-booking has been turned off. This does not mean that I don't have availability, but I do have limited availability. You can still select a date that you're looking at and send me an inquiry for that specific date. If I'm not available I'll send you the nearest date that I have.

This is just temporary for the summer since I wasn't too sure how my late summer and fall months were going to look like with my daughter starting volleyball, my travel schedule, and all of the beautiful weddings I have booked.

Fall availability will be super limited this year, so set your calendars for August 1st to snag a spot! I'm hoping to also nail down some Christmas Mini dates as well! Can't believe it's that time of year again already!

hey friends!!

Just wanted to send you a quick update on here!

Most of you who are on my personal profiles knows that we had a tragic loss in our family recently and now we are spending the first part of July working at a church camp. Ministry and being a small business owner has its perks, but not when it comes to time off, because there's no one to step in when you need to step back, it just goes undone. So I really appreciate everyone being so kind and understanding as I'm navigating a growing business, grief, and juggling all the roles.

I'll never pretend that I've got it all together, but just know, I truly value the trust you've placed in me.

So while it may be a little quiet on here for a bit, I am working hard behind the scenes on getting galleries sent out and replying to emails!
