After much troubleshooting, hours upon hours, my primary camera body has decided to take the route of my central nervous system… complete dysfunction and anarchy. It’s with a heavy heart that I retire my dear friend into the land of dusty technology.

“The lord works in mysterious ways” has been repeating in my mind recently. I have been pondering and praying for guidance on moving forward through my careers, education, stress reduction, and health concerns. I say the lord answered prayers for me to learn patience when he sent me my son. And He decided, 16.5 years later, I hadn’t learned enough and sent me my daughter. IYKYK. I’m looking at recent events in a similar light.

As I previously posted, as I am following the path laid out before me, I trust in our Lord to guide me through to my purpose. I will continue posting images and working through techniques while on my health, career development, and education journeys. I am also looking at the future of Summers Photography through a rebranding and a more fine art aesthetic. This by no means indicates that I will be moving away from consumer based imagery but my schedule will continue to be fluid.

I thank each and every one of you for your continued support as friends and customers.

Don’t forget to visit Krystle R Photography and Santa at the Raymond Center. Ayvah was not excited to meet Santa without mom but… she told him all about needing new Scribble Scrubbies Markers to color Skye 😂 Now say Scribble Scrubby Markers for Scribble Scrubby Skye twice as fast as an excited toddler 👀🫣🤣

I will be at the Raymond Center on Saturday taking pictures with Santa 10-12 & 2-4. Then I will have 1-3 other setups for a quick Christmas photo!

Recently I posted about a busy schedule and learning new skills. The last two weeks have been about innovative techniques that really turn into a work of art, further than just post-processing.

Many of you may not recognize this scene but if I were to tell you that this is in Springbrook, ND and has been there for nearly 3 years (4/3/23) you may recall that day being a very tragic day for the Williston community. You may also remember what happened in the following days of being

I am sharing this not as a reminder of the tragic events but rather a beacon of hope; the light in the darkness. I know there is still darkness. I know there is blame. Self blame, blame towards our Lord, blame towards others. I share this to remind those in the journey of grief that anger, shame, and sadness are expected experiences but one cannot dwell there. For if you shall dwell it will eat at your soul, chain you down, and break you.

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” Matthew 5:4

Please know you are not alone in grief, shame, blame, and/or despair.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" Psalm 34:18

It’s been a rough… let’s just say it’s been rough… but couldn’t let World Diabetes Day go past without posting one thing about Type 1 Diabetes.

Since 2020, the number of Type 1 diagnoses has increased by 25% 🤯

Advances in medicine and research have resulted in a path for genetic testing and treatment plans to slow progression of onset or even halt it altogether!

If you have the opportunity for your children to be screened, PLEASE DO!

I wouldn’t wish this disease on the devil himself. It’s exhausting. Mentally, physically, emotionally non stop and you have to fight because if not… there is no option.

If you see me in November, my hair is blue. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Blue November is a month of advocacy, education, and community. Today is World Diabetes Day, the birthday of Dr. Banting who discovered insulin in 1921. A discovery that means billions of people are alive today, including me.

Hello friends! It’s been a bit since I have posted and I felt it is time for an update.

I have been struggling with my health and with several trips to Mayo Clinic, multiple specialists around North Dakota, multiple symptom based names, I still have no real answers for what is going on… with this I have been realigning my “brand”, business path, and refocusing on my future both personally and professionally as well as the future of my business as a whole.

As I have mentioned before, my focus during construction season has been my primary source of income, working for a local Geotechnical Engineering and Testing Firm as I continue my educational development towards my Geosciences, Graphic Design with a focus in Digital Photography, and Masters of Business Management with a focus on Project Management. With all of this hard work, my focus towards the future is stronger than ever. As I work to bring my vision of Summers Photography to fruition I invite you all to join me on this tremendous journey!

With winter coming quickly, I will be making more and more posts to keep you all in the loop of what’s to come!

💔 If you have the ability to help these families, please do so. So many have lost everything. These families have lost children, parents, friends, priceless possessions… EVERYTHING. We may live in ND but my momma lives in Bandera and attends church in Kerrville. We have friends and those we consider family who have been impacted by this natural catastrophe

You may not be acquainted with Brad or his son Cody, but they are the key to B&C Concrete Pumping, and have been essential to the growth and development of this town for over a decade. I can assure you that Brad will be greatly missed in the construction sector of Western ND and Eastern MT and all that had the pleasure of interacting with him.

Onward and Upward. Rest in peace, Brad.
