I attended a K-9 Search and Rescue training session recently and had the pleasure of meeting Edie Wiley and Maple of the Sedgwick County Search and Rescue team. Maple and Edie were responsible for finding the missing girl in Mulvane, KS last December 11, 2022.

I love this impromptu hero shot I took just after Maple sniffed out the human scent and was alerting her handler Edie.

This family was responsible for the opportunity to get back in the saddle again, and I am most grateful.

Kim had called me to discuss having photos taken during the time I was on the covid-induced hiatus from photography. Initially I declined the opportunity but when she mentioned one of her dogs had a serious health issue, that was the impetus to take on work again.

And this, my friends, was the first door to open to all sorts of exciting happenings for me returning to my craft. Cheers to more good things to come!

Puppies make me happy!

It's been a long Covid break for me, but I'm delighted to get back to doing pet photography work again. I recently returned from what has turned out to be an annual trip to New England to photograph a wide variety of Cairn Terriers at the Montgomery County Kennel Club Terrier Dog Show.

Many thanks to Ziva Girdner for the impromptu capture of me after wrangling some puppies for the shoot.
