What do you prefer—a classic black and white portrait or color?
I'm curious. 😊

Personally, I love both for different reasons. Black and white feels timeless and emotional, while color preserves all of the little details exactly as they are right now.

This portrait of my oldest son is a perfect example. A ball cap. A flannel. Nothing fancy. Just him.

One of the things I love most about Classic Portrait Days is that there is no right or wrong way to dress. Come in your favorite dress, a suit, your everyday jeans and flannel, or whatever feels most like you. The goal isn't to create someone you're not—it's to preserve who you are right now.

Side note: Why does my son look so grown up?! 😭

I swear I blinked and somehow ended up with a teenager.

Fun fact #1 - I am a designer for Baby Dream Backdrops and have hundreds of designs for photographers on their website.
Designing for photographers around the world is such a blessing and I love seeing what other creatives dream up using my designs. :)

Fun fact #2 - While I love designing for other photographers, I also love creating one of a kind backdrops that are exclusive to our studio. THIS design is one of them!

We still have some fabric to hang, and some fine-tuning to do on the garland, but Jo has been dying to come test out the swing.

This sweet princess came to the studio to celebrate her birthday with a Royal Portrait Experience! She came in excited and very shy. By the end of her session we were having all sorts of tea party fun! How cute is she?!?!
