Some places are beautiful. Others make you stop and think about what happened there.
Martin's Cove, Wyoming, is one of those places.
In 1856, members of the Willie and Martin handcart companies faced devastating winter conditions while traveling west. Today, this landscape holds the memory of their extraordinary hardship and survival.
Standing here beneath those dramatic Wyoming skies, it's difficult to imagine what they endured.
Have you ever visited a historic place that stayed with you long after you left? This one hits my 💔 every time.
