I am both honored and humbled by the purchasing of one of my prints using metal as its medium. It is one of the most greatest compliments to have someone who relishes your photography enough to want it displayed in their home.

This photo is titled Rainbow Silhouette.

Side note: This is hanging in her bathroom with her forest and mountains shower curtain reflected in it which is so appropriate. The background of the photo is a rainbow in front of the To***co Root Mountains in southwest Montana.

The road to Branham Lakes in the To***co Root Mountains has opened after a summer of repair by the forest service. They did a wonderful job on the three bridges they replaced. Fall has hit the high altitudes, but I was able to find a few wildflowers particularly Fireweed. I found a group hidden in an old, twisted, and grayed tree that added beauty and depth to the scene. Here are a few of the shots I took.

Route 287 from Twin Bridges, MT to Ennis, MT is a beautiful ride. Just north of Sheridan, I spotted this scene. The storm cell over the Ruby Range was menacing yet beautiful especially when reflected in this pond, and the colors were so intense. I just had to photograph it.

Nature, from the largest to the tiniest, is so fascinating to me. Today, I found a Six Spotter Orb Weaver Spider "hanging out" among my sunflowers. The research that followed informed me that they aren't aggressive towards humans and someone that you want around your home because they prey on pests. If this is a female, she will lay eggs soon and wrap them in a silky cocoon what is attached to foliage. I will have to be careful when harvesting the seeds from my sunflowers. 😊

The evening began with thunderstorms and rainbows, and although the clouds were present, I was able to enjoy the beginning of the lunar eclipse last night. Here are a few shots of the beautiful full moon.

The big sky of Montana often display the most dramatic cloud formations and are so much fun to photograph. These clouds ushered in thunderstorms that moved quickly over the To***co Root Mountains in southwest Montana.

Small signs of fall are slowly happening. The Quaking Aspen leaves are show their "Fall Freckles" in southwest Montana. I look at fall as foliages' last hurrah like the finale at the end of a fireworks display, a blaze of glory!

The road from Twin Bridges, Montana to Dillon, Montana has stunning views that were a welcoming sight after the smoke filled skies that we've had from recent forest fires. I have always been enraptured by the scenic vistas of the Beaverhead Valley. The dramatic gray storm clouds mixed with the greens of the valley and the blues of the mountains made this day perfect for viewing.
