Excited to send off the last 2 albums of this 3 album set! 📚

This might be a hot take, but if you aren’t printing your favorite photos, why even have a professional take them? So they can eat up space on your phone, or live on a flash drive your new computer doesn’t even have a port for? Technology changes rapidly, but heirloom quality albums and prints will always be relevant.

Pictures yourself on your 50th wedding anniversary, surrounded by your children and grandchildren. Are you passing around an antique iPad with your wedding photos on it? No! You’re gathered around the beautiful, hand-crafted, heirloom photo album that’s been lovingly displayed on your coffee table for the last 50 years.

Photos from the first wedding I ever photographed partially barefoot. Don’t worry, it wasn’t at the church 😂

These two celebrated their intimate Connecticut wedding with a first look outside the adorable St. John church in Darien, followed by a beautiful ceremony and a celebration by the water, just steps from where the groom grew up.

They’re both really close with their families and it shows in how they planned their wedding. They intentionally kept things intimate, so they could really spend the day with the people they love most. There’s something so special about bringing together the people and places that have shaped your story, and simply making time to be together.

Getting to document all of it, from those first moments before the ceremony to the last light on the beach, was such a joy 🤍

Post ‘I do’ snuggles 🥰

Swipe for a little glimpse into this intimate wedding day with a minimal guest list and maximum intention.

The hybrid ceremony underneath a traditional mandap included both Hindu and western wedding elements in a way that felt truly personal to the couple. Reverential of tradition, while also honoring their own values. A joining of equals.

The bride created a beautifully illustrated ceremony program explaining the all the different traditions and their symbolism, so everyone could participate.

Their celebration afterwards was fittingly low-key, with a family style dinner, backyard games, and grandma Phyllis’ famous chocolate cake.

Gray skies were no match for the just-engaged-glow radiating from these two lovebirds last Saturday 💖

After planning for months to do the proposal at a park, the weather threw a curve ball and we had to pivot.

Luckily, we were able to use the covered patio of a family friend. It really was making lemonade out of lemons, because with a little strategic cropping you’d never know we weren’t out in the open.

The lesson here—always make friends with people who have nice backyards. Oh, and don’t let a little rain ruin your parade! ☔️

Did I hunt down this particular reference book? Nope, it just happened to be in the only row of books we were allowed to shoot in. A delightful mix of serendipity and whimsy bestowed on me by the photography gods! 💫
