W.I.P. I was stuck finishing one of my handmade 3D paper sculptures because I didn’t know how I was going to frame it or display it. I was playing around with wooded cradles and came up with a perfect way to frame my 3D paper artwork. First, I wanted to stain the wood so it’s a more natural representation of this specific 3D paper artwork. I found this non-toxic, water soluble, Teak Wood stain. Now, the color of Teak wood if left untreated has an ash (cool) patina undertone, this stain has a bit of a warm undertone, (more amber than golden) which I actually love. It looks more like a touch of fresh cedar than it does teak. Can’t wait to brush on a satin sealer to keep the color exactly the way it is with just a tiny bit of contrast. Follow me to see more ❤️

Texture you can almost feel through your screen. Ever wondered how recycled paper turns into vibrant 3D art? This is one of my first untitled paper art pieces, I use as a sample now.

I’ve spent several months perfecting my own papermaking process, which allows me to create artwork that gives the illusion of geodes, rocks, and stone. It’s very lightweight and lets me create unusual, earth-based mineral and stone sculptures on a large scale, without specialized tools or the weight restrictions that come with using real rock and stone—limitations that would normally impede my designs or wall installations.

I’ve incorporated real flowers and leaves into this piece that I have dried and sealed, along with my favorite detail: origami butterflies. Each “stone” insert is shaped entirely by hand, and the entire artwork is made from recycled, handmade paper from my office. It’s proof that sustainable materials and a little creative magic can become something quite unexpected.

This piece is just a small sample. I can’t wait to show you how I create this on a large scale for my clients. Join me, and let me know what you think in the comments below.

Ever wondered what joy feels like in 3D?

Each mosaic here is a patchwork of recycled paper, glossy resin, and tiny treasures from nature. I love knowing every butterfly and leaf has its own story (and no, they don’t talk back… yet).

What happens when art sparks real conversation?

A collector and designer met over coffee. Minutes later, they were discussing details of my graphic illustration piece that sparked their discussion.

Art isn’t just for walls. It’s for conversations, it's for connections, it's for exploring different view points and personal expression, along with a little bit of joy every day. (Yes, we ALL need joy)

Some art pieces refuse to play wallflower. This pink coneflower doesn’t just hang out—it leaps off the shelf with color and depth, adding instant personality to your wall and maybe a little sass, too.

Want to learn how to make colors POP in your next project? Type “YES!” in the comments, and I’ll send you a link with all the details for my next “Intro to Color Theory” class. Hope to see you there! 🌸
