ππ Day 8 ππ
Miss Ella π₯°
She brings joy to everyoneβs day and is an extra ray of sunshine. Her emotional intelligence is off the charts. One thing I distinctly remember was when Ella was about three years old. She was barely walking and definitely not talking yet but at a swim practice for her older sister, she walked up to an adult that was sitting on the ground with her head down between their arms and insisted on getting their attention and then gave them a hug. The adult looked up at me, looking defeated and sad, but then perked up when Ella gave them a hug. They stated βhow did she know I needed a hug?β I still to this day am amazed because things like that happen all the time and I donβt know how she knows but she just does. She can sense your mood when youβre sad or frustrated and does everything she can to make sure that she does what she can to uplift you. Itβs one of my most favorite things about her. I am convinced that when God makes people with down syndrome that he packs a whole lot of extra empathy and compassion into that extra chromosome. We are blessed beyond measure that our little Ella Bean completes our family.
