I only maintain a total of 9 websites as of today, because my disabilities limit what I can do. BUT! I had a bit of "fun learning" this PAST week when one of my current websites was flagged *by automated tools* as "malicious" -

and the FIX for the problem wasn't an easy once, since (1) there was NOTHING malicious within any file on my server, confirmed.

It's just that the robots made a wrong decision, and there's no way to FIX such a thing since it's not a blacklist entry to dispute.

This is wild. I love tech, I really do. But I also wish that we (as society) would realize that we still need human eyes on things, and human hands doing work. Sigh.

For the folks reading this because of my web development, let me give you some assurance -

Everything will be fine with your website. If I manage your site, you don't need to worry about it. A few of you have been reading some things that are giving you cause for concern, and I understand.

Please know that a lot of what you're reading is what some might call politics, or grandstanding.

The dust will settle. I'd encourage you to not keep reading the minutia of what you're digging into, since that is why I'm here. I'm very well informed, and I've got it covered.

And hypothetically, if the entire WP infrastructure were to go away? We can rebuild using another platform. Please try to relax and trust that things are handled.

Remember, you do what's in your area of expertise, and leave this to me, yeah? Message me if you have specific questions about your project, now or at any time. I've got you. ✌️😊

Well Google's got jokes.
I'm never sure what people on the *outside* of the industry are aware of, but suffice it to say that there is a pretty fierce battle brewing in the web admin space. I'm having a bit of a tough week myself, but Google "sitting back with the popcorn" today is absolutely a nod to the current (Wordpress) industry fight.

Fun fact! This is the *very first* library book I've ever checked out from any library in my life. My not being a big reader is a story for another day though, as "show, don't tell" is what's up for today 👋😁
