There have been quite a few weddings that I haven't been chosen to photograph because my prices were "too high". I'm happy to walk away from those opportunities - I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for". I've seen it time and time again, complete beginners upset because their images didn't turn out like they were hoping. All I can think about is how the bride and groom are going to feel when they realize they tried to save a buck and now their "captured memories" are a let down. There is a reason true wedding photographers charge what they do.

Before our trip, I sold my pro-DSLR and purchased a mirrorless camera - mostly out of convenience, as I don't enjoy lugging around my heavy camera everywhere I go, but also because I know a lot of photographers who are trading in their DSLR for a mirrorless. However, the performance of the mirrorless was so unpredictable, that many of my Disney pictures were blurry or out of focus. I've been shooting long enough to fully grasp how to ensure neither of those things happen, so what gives?? I'm very disappointed and will be returning the mirrorless. I guess lugging around a DSLR is a huge trade off if I want clear, crisp photographs.
