⚾ ’Twas the Night Before the World Series
A Milwaukee Brewers Poem 💙💛
’Twas the night before the Series, all through Wisconsin tonight,
Brewers fans were buzzing, their hearts full of delight.
The jerseys were ready, the caps set with care,
In hopes that a championship soon would be there.
The fans were all nestled, all snug in their blue,
With visions of home runs and victories, too.
When out on the diamond there arose such a roar,
We sprang from our seats to see what was in store.
Away to the TV we flew like a flash,
Hoping our Brewers would make history at last!
The lights on the field made the whole stadium glow,
As the Brew Crew prepared to put on a show.
With bats swinging strong and gloves ready to fly,
Milwaukee’s boys were reaching for the sky.
Now, some folks had doubted, some said we'd fall short,
But those pesky Brewers had their own kind of sport.
They fought through the season, they answered the call,
And now they stood ready to give it their all!
From the memories of ’82 to the dreams of today,
Generations of Brewers fans have cheered all the way.
We’ve waited and hoped, through the good times and pain,
And now we’re dreaming of October glory again!
So raise up your voices, let Milwaukee ring,
Let’s cheer for our Brewers and that championship ring!
So here’s to the Brewers, our pride and our crew,
To the fans who believe and the loyal and true.
May tomorrow bring magic, may our dreams take flight…
Happy World Series Eve to all, and to all a good night!
GO BREWERS! BRING THAT TITLE HOME! ⚾🏆💙💛
