June in Northwest Oklahoma is hard to beat.

The wildflowers are blooming, everything is finally green again, and those long summer evenings make for some pretty incredible photo sessions.

This is one of my favorite times of the year to photograph seniors, families, couples, and all the little in-between moments that deserve to be remembered.

There’s something about this time of year in Northwest Oklahoma.

The grass turns green again, the wildflowers start showing off, and suddenly those long summer evenings start feeling a little different.

For the Class of 2027, this is the season where everything starts to shift a little. Senior year is right around the corner, and somehow life starts moving a whole lot faster.

That’s why I love summer senior sessions so much. They feel relaxed, real, and full of all the little in-between moments you’ll want to remember someday.

And honestly… it’s hard to beat Oklahoma when it looks like this.

One of the biggest questions I get every summer is:
“What should I wear for senior pictures?”

So I put together a quick little guide to help make planning your session a little less stressful and a lot more fun.

Senior photos should feel like you: comfortable, natural, and true to this season of life. Hopefully this helps give you a good starting point as you begin planning outfits, locations, and all the little details.

As we begin wrapping up the 25–26 school year galleries, this is a friendly reminder that Mooreland school and sports galleries will be archived June 30th to make room for the upcoming school year.

If you’ve been meaning to place an order, download images, or save your favorite sports and school photos, be sure to do so before the galleries are removed from the website archive.

School’s out, summer is here, and I’ve finally had a chance to sit down and update my availability calendar a bit.

I added a few extra session dates next week, along with updated summer availability moving forward. If you’ve been thinking about booking senior photos, family photos, couples sessions, or just wanting updated photos while everything is green and blooming, now is a pretty great time to get on the calendar.

Summer evenings in Northwest Oklahoma are hard to beat right now. The wildflowers are showing off, the sunsets have been incredible, and these next few weeks are about as pretty as it gets.

I’ll also be in the Tonkawa area June 7–10 and will have limited evening availability while I’m back home visiting family.

One senior class just crossed the stage, and somehow that means the Class of 2027 is already up next.

It always sneaks up fast.

If you’ve been thinking about senior photos, June is honestly one of my favorite times to shoot. The wildflowers are popping all across Northwest Oklahoma right now, everything is green, and those long summer evenings make for some pretty incredible golden hour sessions.

Plus, it’s a great chance to get those senior pictures done before summer schedules get crazy and fall activities start rolling.

No pressure. Just a laid-back evening, good light, and photos that actually feel like you.

Mooreland Graduation 2026 photos are now available on the website!

First and foremost, congratulations to the Mooreland Class of 2026. Saturday afternoon’s commencement ceremony was a special celebration for a tremendous group of seniors as they closed one chapter and prepared to begin another.

Thank you to Mooreland Public Schools, the families, staff, community, and everyone who helped make graduation such a memorable ceremony. It was an honor to capture these moments for you all.

I shot well over 750 images throughout the afternoon, and the computer worked overtime overnight processing and uploading the full gallery so everything would be ready to go this morning.

Mooreland Graduation is almost here.

One final walk across the stage. One final tassel turn. One final time together as the Class of 2026.

Sandhill Photography will be there capturing the special moments from commencement, from proud smiles to emotional hugs and everything in between. Graduation galleries will be uploaded and available for download shortly after the ceremony concludes.

It’s hard to put into words what this class has meant to Mooreland, but Saturday will be a celebration years in the making.

Congratulations, seniors. Your story is just getting started.
