Hi friends ✨️I'm moving✨️ ‼️But don't worry I'll still be in the area ‼️

My husband & I have been in the process of buying our first home! We aren't quite done yet, we still have our belongings to move and to get settled in, so I have shut down bookings to allow us some time to get comfy🥰
During this time I'll be away from my computer and all of my booking systems — once I get my new office set up, I'll be able to reply to any inquiries & set up any new bookings!

Fighting that February chill in the Midwest with HotHands and determination! ❄️
Despite the cold, it was a beautifully sunny day and everyone was in such high spirits. We spent the session jamming out to a country playlist I put together, though my husband insists it leaned more folk-country and that I should probably stick to photography instead of trying to be a DJ.
(Note: Ask for VERY specific music preferences when you book! 😅)
Hannah and Nick are truly glowing people. It was such a pleasure to capture a bit of their story while reflecting on my own rite of passage into motherhood. I'm so grateful I got to capture this for them!🖤🖤

Hello everyone! I have had some major life changes recently that require my attention to be directed elsewhere for the next month until I get settled back in to the flow of things. I apologize if any messages or inquiries take a little bit longer for me to respond than normal.

Everything with booking & scheduling & receiving galleries is still going to be the same, for now, but I will have to shut down scheduling for a couple of weeks in the near future here, I will keep you updated on the dates that will not be available.

I also just wanted to thank everyone who has supported me along the way, I'm so so so grateful, and I cant wait to see some more of your smiling faces this year. 🖤

— COMMUNITY. CONNECTION. CELEBRATION. —

I had the opportunity to photograph The Salvation Army Watertown, SD Christmas Campaign Awards yesterday!
The people involved who I had a chance to talk to are such kind, beautiful, glowing humans.
Hearing about the work that goes on behind the scenes is inspiring, especially with a lot of it being voluntary — this shows the heart of our community and people who genuinely care about one another.
Truly an inspiring group of humans. Thanks for letting me tell a bit of your story.

Anyone that knows me knows I love animals, so of course I had to take their photos🙂‍↕️
Luckily for me these 2 were on their very best behavior and were rewarded with a couple of ice cube treats for their participation.

I had the honor of taking some business photos for Trench Rose Tattoo!
Yapping away & making him pause every couple of minutes so I can get the angle & lighting just right, a nice fun change to my usual photoshoots!

I call this one my personal mechanic ✨️
My husband had to work on his car and I had to get the settings down on my flash — an alliance was born.

If you notice the editing style is a little different, I'm trying some stuff out and REALLY digging it.

Of course the negative temps meant for some warming up in the car every couple of photos & some extra little hand warmers, but we got it done.

I know my socials have been a little quiet lately, but I’ve been putting a lot of work into the back end of things, including business cards.

I finally got them in and I’m so happy with how they turned out.

There will be a few changes happening here and there as I work through getting everything organized, with the goal of making the process from booking to receiving your gallery a lot smoother.

As always, I’m incredibly thankful for your support and patience.

✨️I finally upgraded my camera & lenses!✨️
This is something I’ve wanted to do for a while (even before I decided to get into the industry more), and I’m really excited about what it means for the photos I’m able to deliver!

✨️WHAT IT MEANS FOR YOU✨️
This setup lets me shoot in softer and lower light without losing clarity. It also gives me more detail, and more freedom to capture both wide scenic shots and close intimate moments. Overall, it just gives me more creative control so your galleries feel even more true to the moment & if you choose to hang up a large picture from your gallery it's even MORE clean & clear!

🖤I’m keeping my prices the same, for now, until I get more comfortable with the new gear & book some of my wishlist photoshoots! (More on that later! Stay tuned! There will be some freebies!)
