Some people are tough on the football field, fearless on the hiking trails, and always ready for the next camping trip with friends. Then, they head home, grab the PS5 controller, throw on a Spider-Man movie or dive into the Star Wars galaxy. That’s Alan Jacobus Heeren—and that’s what makes him who he is.

Alan is hardworking, determined, and has a bright future ahead, but he’s never lost that kid-at-heart spirit. Whether he’s giving it his all on the football field, exploring the outdoors with friends, or enjoying his favorite superheroes and a galaxy far, far away, he lives life with passion and authenticity.

Last night, I had the privilege of watching the Moon slowly disappear from the night sky—a truly breathtaking experience. There’s something humbling about witnessing a celestial event unfold in real time, and being able to capture those fleeting moments made it even more meaningful.

Unfortunately, the clouds had other plans and eventually rolled in, cutting the show short. Even so, I’m grateful for the phases I was able to photograph before nature closed the curtain.

These images were captured around 10:35 PM using my Canon R6 paired with an 800mm lens. Moments like these are a reminder that even when we don’t get to see the entire story, the parts we do witness can still leave us in awe.

Meet Willow, Class of 2027. 🌿

Willow’s favorite subject is Science, and when she’s not studying, you’ll often find her performing, painting, or spending time surrounded by nature. She feels most at peace near the water and dreams of living close to the ocean someday.

After graduation, Willow plans to become a Certified Nurse-Midwife, combining her love for science with her passion for caring for others and helping bring new life into the world.

As a parent, I know firsthand that life isn’t always easy. There are seasons when every dollar matters, and sometimes professional photos feel like a luxury instead of a necessity. But I also know that our children’s memories are priceless. They grow up far too fast, and those little moments become the memories we treasure forever.

That’s why, as a photographer, my goal has never been to serve only those with the biggest budgets. My passion is making photography accessible to everyone. No matter your budget, social status, skin color, sexual orientation, or background, you deserve to have your story captured with love, respect, and care.

I don’t rush my sessions. If it takes one hour or two, I’m perfectly happy with that because creating genuine smiles and authentic memories is what matters most to me. Every family deserves to feel seen, valued, and celebrated.

Photography isn’t just about taking pictures—it’s about preserving the moments you’ll look back on years from now. If I can help make that possible for your family, then I’m doing exactly what I love.

There are moments when the sky forgets it is above us and descends to whisper across the world. Tonight was one of those moments.

From high above, the land becomes still, the trees breathe as one, and the horizon glows like the edge of another realm. The clouds are no longer just weather—they become ancient brushstrokes, painted by unseen hands, reminding us that there is magic hidden in ordinary places for those willing to look up.

For a fleeting moment, time stood still, and the heavens opened just enough to reveal that the universe is far more mysterious, beautiful, and alive than we often remember.

Sometimes, a drone doesn’t just capture a landscape—it captures the feeling that Earth and eternity briefly touched.
