Stitched With Love for Dolly 🦋🎸💗
There are some people who touch your life without ever even knowing that they did, Dolly Parton was one of those people for us.
Growing up in Tennessee and being lifelong country music lovers, Dolly has always felt like a part of our world. Her music, her stories, her laughter, her faith, her kindness, and that unmistakable Southern spirit have been woven into so many of our memories.
One very very special memory I have is when I was 13 years old and on a window cleaning job with my grandad (Don Crabtree) (Clearview Window Cleaning) just like any other day I worked with him we would stop and get me whatever I wanted on the way to the job , but this day once we got back in his truck and was almost to the job , he looked over at me with just a huge grin and I said what is it grandad and he said not sure if she will be home today or not but we are headed over to do someone very specials windows today so I want you doing the absolute best you can as he winked and said you might be in for a big tip (he always tipped me big) I was a Grandaddy’s girl. I will never forget pulling into this dream of a house, it was so beautiful, I loved it as we had made it about half way through the day I had moved on to a master bedroom but was stopped by someone and they said we will be skipping this room for now and that’s when I got my very first glimpse of Dolly … she was spectacular in every way and so small and cute, she had hollered out and ask that person who they was speaking with and they brought me to her door , that was my very first time speaking with her and her voice I just loved it, she had about 30 pair of heels out in the floor and I guess was trying them on but I remember them being so pretty and so small, like itty bitty. She was so nice and her laugh was contagious. Didn’t get to stay long because I knew I had to be working but it was a memory I will never ever forget and her belts was itty bitty as well.
Anyway, Dolly was so much more than a singer.
She showed us that you can come from humble beginnings and dream BIG. That you can be successful and still be kind. That you can give back. That you can love your roots while reaching for the stars. And that a little bit of sparkle never hurt anybody. 💕✨
As we thought about how we could honor her at Boog’s Boutique & Photography, we knew we wanted to do it with something that came from our own hands and our own hearts.
So we’re taking our love of quilting, sewing, Tennessee, and Dolly and turning it into something special.
We’re creating a collection of little patchwork guitars, butterflies, flowers, hearts, and other pieces made from quilt scraps—each one stitched together with love.
And our butterflies will have their wings free… because that’s what Dolly gave so many of us: permission to dream, to fly, and to become exactly who we were meant to be. 🦋
Every little piece will be imperfectly perfect, just like the scraps they’re made from—different colors, different patterns, different stories, all coming together to make something beautiful.
That feels like Dolly to us.
A Coat of Many Colors kind of love.
A Tennessee kind of love.
A country music kind of love.
A big-hearted, help-your-neighbor kind of love.
We may never have the opportunity to thank Dolly personally for all the joy she brought into our lives, but we can keep her spirit alive by doing what she taught us:
Be kind.
Love big.
Dream bigger.
Help somebody.
And always, always keep a little sparkle in your life. 💗
So this is our little tribute from Boog’s Boutique & Photography…
🦋 Stitched With Love for Dolly 🦋
Thank you, Dolly, for the music, the memories, the laughter, the lessons, and the love.
Your earthly journey may have come to an end, but the things you stitched into the hearts of millions of us will never come undone.
