🌽 Red vs. Green — an Iowa rivalry as old as the fields themselves. 🚜

When harvest season rolls across Iowa, the countryside comes alive with its own version of fall color. The leaves begin to change, the fields turn shades of gold and brown, and across the horizon you’ll find plenty of John Deere green and Case IH red battling it out to bring in another year’s crop.

Whether you bleed green or swear by red, there’s something beautiful about watching these machines work against an Iowa autumn backdropthe dust hanging in the air, combines moving through the fields, and farmers putting in long days before the season changes again.

Of course, all that harvest dust also means allergy season is in full force… and trust me, my sinuses definitely know harvest is here. 😂🤧

🏍️ Tim Petersen Memorial Ride n Drive

The day may have started with rain and uncertainty, but it ended with clear skies, great conversations, and memories worth carrying forward.

There’s something special about motorcycles, friends, and the open Iowa countryside. Add a meaningful cause, and you see the very best in people—showing up, riding together, sharing stories, and remembering those who are no longer with us.
It wasn’t just about the miles or the motorcycles. It was about friendship, remembrance, community, and coming together for something bigger than ourselves.

Thank you to everyone at the Tim Petersen Memorial Ride n Drive for allowing me to capture a small part of such a meaningful day. It was truly an honor. 🏍️❤️

Sunday was made for the open road. 🏍️

The 2026 Celtic Cruise Sunday Ride brought together riders, friends, law enforcement, and a whole lot of horsepower for a morning built around community and the shared love of riding.

There’s something different about watching a group this size hit the road together. Every rider has their own story, their own reason for being there, but for a few hours they all become part of the same one.

🐾 Meet Flora 🐾

Some dogs just steal your heart ❤️

This is Flora, a beautiful mix of Pit Bull and Labrador whose smile says everything you need to know. Full of joy, loyalty, and a playful spirit. They don't worry about being perfect—they simply live in the moment.

Every wag of the tail, every happy grin, and every eager glance tells a story. My goal isn't just to take a photo; it's to preserve those little moments that become treasured memories for years to come.

🔥 Friday Loo | Lincoln Park | Waterloo, Iowa 🔥

On July 17th, I had the privilege of photographing the Jeni Grouws band during Friday Loo at Lincoln Park in Waterloo. Even with temperatures pushing 98°F, the heat didn't stop anyone from showing up, and it certainly didn't slow the band down.

For nearly four hours, Jenni and the band poured everything they had into the performance. The energy never let up. Families gathered together, friends laughed, strangers became neighbors, and before long, the park was filled with people dancing the night away.

Two weekends. Two incredible experiences

The last two weekends have been a whirlwind behind the camera—from capturing an incredible community event to photographing an amazing evening of live music. Every click of the shutter reminded me why I fell in love with photography in the first place.

Photography isn't just about creating images. It's about preserving moments that can never be recreated, telling stories that deserve to be remembered, and capturing memories that I'll always cherish.
