Real moments. Real stories. No staging.

Beauty in the Fracture Photography recently had the opportunity to capture the Annual Sportsmen Dinner at Prairie Lakes Church in Cedar Falls—an event filled with connection, conversation, and genuine moments from start to finish.

From the energy in the room… to the interactions around the tables… to the moments on stage—nothing was forced. Nothing was scripted. Just real life unfolding.
That’s the difference.

Beauty in the Fracture Photography focuses on capturing events as they truly happen, preserving the atmosphere, the people, and the moments that often go unnoticed but matter most.

For churches, organizations, and community events looking for authentic, story-driven photography—this is where it starts.

Recently, a dispatcher from Panama Transfer reached out after discovering this photograph on my website. Out of the entire gallery, this piece stood out and was selected to be displayed in their office.

There’s a unique level of fulfillment in seeing your work move beyond the screen and become part of a real environment—especially in a space where dedication, precision, and long hours define the day-to-day.

At Beauty in the Fracture Photography, the goal has always been to capture authentic moments that resonate—and it’s an honor when those moments find a place in someone else’s world.

Thank you, Panama Transfer for the opportunity.

This year, Beauty in the Fracture Photography is honored to donate two framed pieces to the silent auction for the Elizabeth Collins Foundation Memorial Ride for Girls on July 11, 2026.

These images represent more than just motorcycles and open roads — they represent freedom, community, and the strength that comes from riding together for a cause greater than ourselves.

And of course… we had a little help from our in-house mascot 🐮. Decland showed up in full ride spirit, bandana on and ready to support an incredible mission.

If you’re attending the ride, be sure to stop by the silent auction, check out these pieces up close, and place a bid.Thank you to everyone involved in making this event meaningful — it’s an honor to be a small part of something so big.

After thoughtful planning and meaningful work behind the scenes, I’m proud to officially announce the launch of the Beauty in the Fracture Photography website.

This milestone represents an important step forward in my photography journey—one rooted in intentional storytelling, genuine connection, and a craft I’ve truly grown to love. The website serves as a dedicated space to share my work, my vision, and the stories that reflect beauty found even within life’s imperfect moments.

I’m grateful for the continued support and encouragement, and I look forward to this next chapter as Beauty in the Fracture continues to grow.

🍾Happy New Year from Beauty in the Fracture Photography.🍾

This past year marked the official launch of Beauty in the Fracture—an idea that became a vision, and a vision that became a body of work rooted in authenticity, resilience, and finding beauty where others might overlook it.

I’m grateful for every like, share, conversation, and word of encouragement along the way. None of this happens without the support of people who believe in the story behind the images.

Looking ahead, the coming year will be more focused, more intentional, and more aggressive—in the best way. More projects. More growth. More storytelling. And a continued commitment to creating meaningful, honest imagery.

Thank you for being part of the journey. Here’s to a productive and fruitful year ahead.

✨ Late-Fall Calm at Kennedy Park ✨

An afternoon visit to Kennedy Park in Fort Dodge, Iowa made the most of an unseasonably warm 60-degree day before colder weather and the rush of Thanksgiving week arrive. The calm water, deep blue skies, and soft tones of late fall created a peaceful atmosphere that perfectly captured the quiet transition between seasons.

With the harvest season wrapped up and winter slowly approaching, the landscape offered subtle reflections and textures that highlight the understated beauty of Iowa this time of year. Even in the stillness and shift of late November, there is always something remarkable waiting to be seen.

Prints from this collection are available matted or framed—perfect Christmas gifts for friends, family, or even adding a touch of calm to office spaces.

There’s something special about Iowa mornings this time of year.

As the temperatures drop and the seasons shift, the world takes on a quieter kind of beauty—one wrapped in cold air, soft fog, and the last echoes of the harvest season.

This scene caught my eye just as the morning light hit the grain bins, with a thin veil of frost and mist rising from the ground. The fields may be nearly empty now, the combines parked and the long days of harvest finally behind us, but the land still whispers its own story. You can almost feel the transition in the air—autumn handing off the year to winter.

Moments like this remind me why I love photographing Iowa. Even in the cold, even in the in-between seasons, there’s always beauty waiting in the fracture… you just have to pause long enough to see it.

🌍🙏 The Power of Prayer 🇯🇲

Sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do for the world is pause — and pray.

As Hurricane Melissa has left its mark on Jamaica and surrounding areas, our hearts and prayers go out to everyone affected — families rebuilding, communities recovering, and the brave relief and response teams already on the ground bringing hope where it’s needed most.

Even when the world feels broken, uncertain, or far beyond our reach, prayer connects us to something greater. It’s where peace begins, where hope is restored, and where love moves quietly but powerfully across every border.
