Like it’s the 50’s | New Haven Railroad No. 141 ‘Roger Williams’ Budd DMU Trainset sits next to Canaan Union Depot on the New Haven’s Berkshire Division; in reality, the restored Trainset is being towed back to the Housatonic Railroad’s Yard just south of here after being on display for the yearly Canaan Railroad Days.

Happy Memorial Day | Naugatuck Railroad U23B No. 2203, now renumbered 2798, was recently unveiled in a Delaware & Hudson inspired ‘semiquincentennial’ paint scheme for the nation’s 250th anniversary this year. It is seen here just behind the Fascia’s Chocolate boarding platform switching out cars in the siding.

Midnight Moves | Providence & Worcester NR-2 from Plainfield rumbles through Branford right at midnight with cars for Cedar Hill. NR-4’s power set of three GE B40-8W’s, all former Sante Fe, were assigned for this run as NR-2’s original power outlawed in New Haven the night before.

Not so Foreign Power | Providence & Worcester GP38-3 No. 2011 leads New England Central Train 608 south past Eagleville Dam; in reality, it was trailing behind NECR 2168 which was edited out. 2011 has been transferred to the New England Central Railroad since mid-April for use on their Palmer local and yard jobs.

B&O on the West Shore | CSX P001, CSX’s Office Car Special, is making its way south along the river line for the first leg of its round trip between Selkirk and Kearny. The three former Amtrak F40PH’s have been the mainstay power for the OCS being a part of CSX’s fleet since 1999 and having been replanted into a B&O heritage scheme in 2021.
