This little Merlin was so brave and dive bombing an owl! Despite her small stature she was full of ferocity. Honestly glad this species of falcon is quite tiny, they would be a force to be reckoned with.

Welcome to the world, little ones. ☀️🐻

I had the privilege of spending some time with a black bear sow and her three cubs shortly after they emerged from the den. During these early weeks, mothers often stay close to a large tree so their cubs have a quick escape route from predators. Sometimes called a "babysitter tree."

If you ever spot black bear cubs in a tree, be extra cautious—their mother is likely nearby and keeping a close eye on them. ❤️

I only had a few moments to nab this photo of a Green-winged Teal drake. I had just spotted the young bull moose that had charged me a few months back, and he was headed straight towards me. The joys of wildlife photography. 🤣
