We can’t wait to share the recap from today’s The Power Is Ours 2026 Racial Justice Summit and Festival 💜 What was your favorite panel? Activity? Share in the comments!

10/09/2026

Our returning Youth Organizing Collective (YOC) members came together for their first session of the year, reconnecting, building community, and setting the tone for what’s ahead!

To close out our session, we asked everyone to share one word they hope new members will feel when they join us in a few weeks. One member said, “hopeful.” And naturally, that turned into an impromptu sing-along of Hope by Twista ft. Faith Evans 😂🎶 If you know, you know!

Beyond the laughs, that moment captured what YOC is all about: creating a space where young people feel welcomed, supported, empowered, and hopeful about what’s possible when we come together.

We can’t wait to welcome our new members and see what this year brings!

Recap on a wonderful board retreat. A time of reflection to focus on how the board can show up for Critical Expsoure during this time, and for the year ahead.

Some updates we can share with you all:

1. We added three additional board members to our board this year

2. We said farewell to two board members, including an alum.

Grateful for the board members, new and past! Keep an eye out for our next post welcoming each new board member 😉
