•On my way back home from the doctors, I took a completely different picture but I didn’t like it (the image you see is a combo of the two edited pictures in my story). The thing is, I didn’t realize this until I left the scene and I wasn’t driving back for one picture (gas lol). So as I got closer to home I drove thru the Town of Upper Marlboro looking for some nice fall colors. Found this tree with reddish-orange leaves and the sun was really bringing out the colors, so I snapped it on my phone. This image isn’t what I originally thought I was gonna make even after I started editing both images separately. However, the house in the background reminded of old southern mansion (yes, this is a house, not a mansion). And once I put the image in B&W I realized the added contrast had the leaves on the tree blowing in the wind kinda reminding me of flames, which was cool. Anyway, I know I don’t usually make posts this long (you’re welcome) but I haven’t posted in awhile so I felt the need to give a little extra. Hopefully I can start posting regularly.

•I’m gonna retake these though and I know exactly how I want to do it. May not look the same, may just use one image. We’ll see.

Had an idea in my head for a double exposure that would evoke a gothic vibe (old church) in an urban setting (my friend belting out his song outside the metro) made of these two images. Shot him into the sun to contrast his intensity with the looming, quiet shadows on the church. Didn’t like how it came out, tried some other ideas. Not a double exposure, but this is as close as I got.
