I miss this view of the moon from the beach house I stayed in while visiting Zanzibar! I would be awake until the moon wasn’t visible from the beach most nights during my visit. I really need and want to go back!

Sitting here editing photos for this DMV sound project and memories of 7 year old me dancing to E.U.’s Da’Butt on WBLS back in ‘88! 🤣
The most difficult part of learning more about Go-Go is the fact that hardly any of the history is being shared. On one hand a lot of the older generation treats Go-Go history like Area-51. I completely understand why but it’s still annoying AF. And on the other hand the exploitation from “entitled” people outside of Go-Go community is insane.
Regardless of all that I try my best to document Go-Go artists in a way that will make D.C. (DMV) proud and inspire others to do the same. It’s more than just snapping a flick or shooting an unfocused shakey ass video. 🤣 Anyways I thought it was time I finally start sharing some of my work with the world.
