Grounded: Six Over Sixty
— Meet My Friends

I am honored to share Six Over Sixty, a multimedia production rooted in gratitude, memory, friendship, and creative legacy.
Hosted by videographer and digital anthropologist Denaise Seals, this project brings together six colleagues, friends, and fellow artists whose combined histories represent more than 200 years of service, creativity, leadership, and artistic contribution in Washington, DC’s arts and humanities communities.

Through more than 25 years of archival and current footage, Six Over Sixty honors the relationships, collaborations, partnerships, and friendships that have shaped my work and strengthened DC’s cultural landscape.

"What We Carry"
"This collaborative performance installation brings together the practices and voices of Lorenzo Cardim, Jessy Hanson, and Sabriaya Shipley to explore grief as both personal memory and collective ritual. Through sewing, singing, and storytelling, we tend to wounds both visible and unseen, tracing the threads of immigration, addiction, displacement, cultural inheritance, and healing. Our work traces loss, not to resolve it, but to stitch presence into its absence."
