Sometimes photo shoots take you to mysterious places in the city that you never knew existed. Like this one for example! So much detail and beauty in this charming hidden gem. It inspires you to search for the light and for creative angles. The event itself also happened to be very inspiring as the topic of conversation was about small businesses owned by women in countries like South Africa, Kenya, Mexico, and more. The stories were incredibly strong and positive.

Taking photos of an event that takes place on a rooftop that overlooks the Mall on a picture perfect day, is not a bad gig. Add some happy people that are happy to be there and it makes it a perfect event shoot.

Probably the hardest video I’ve ever edited. Not because of it having some special effects, animations, or anything of that nature but because of the story. Editing a video about your own story turned out to be a challenging task. I must have started from scratch at least 3 times before I decided to tell the story from the perspective of how my kids grew up with around and in my dance studio. Let me know what you think.

On a beautiful warm October day, a corporate portrait photo shoot at the majestic Lincoln memorial. Plenty of obstacles since the location was crowded and the light changed every 10 minutes but I love the results. Thank you for the referral and thank you for assisting . This was a great experience!

Photographing people speaking is actually more tricky than it seems. I learned that lesson the first time I shot presenters. There isn’t enough photos you can take to be sure you got the right one. They may seem ok in the camera and then you look at them on the computer and it turns out you’ve frozen some very awkward facial expressions that are definitely not flattering so you can only hope you took a lot more to choose from. To add to that, a very cramped small room with people sitting and standing everywhere, and not being able to use flash, forces you to think outside the box and use what you have. Changing angles, using whatever light source available, sneaking between people quietly, etc.
