OKAY, THIS SHOW KNEW WHAT IT WAS 😆😆

There’s no way they threw that stuffed animal at Marco and don’t realize how camp that was 🤣🤣

Not only did the leader of a worldwide secret invasion get punked by a skunk, he lost the dang ANDALITE! 🤦🏾‍♂️

Man, i loved this show more than I really needed to.

Animorphs (1998–2000)

Live-action sci-fi series based on my favorite, bestselling book series by K. A. Applegate (Katherine Applegate & Michael Grant), developed for television by Deborah Forte.

The show follows a group of teens who get the ability to morph into animals while secretly fighting an alien invasion on Earth. With its darker tone and serialized storytelling, Animorphs stood out as a more mature kids series tackling themes like war, identity, morality, and sacrifice.

Now, the book series is dope! But the TV series is considered terrible by most fans. And I’m not most fans because I legit have a nostalgic love for this show 🤣

With a reboot in development under our boy, Coogler, the franchise has the opportunity for a more faithful interpretation. And I’m here it.

⚾️ HOW I LEARNED ABOUT THE NEGRO LEAGUES 🙌🏾

First, seeing these two in a scene together is inspiring, heartbreaking, and beautiful 🥹

Second, I wanna know when this became “WOKE” because we were educating children through media in the 90s, not rotting their brains.

This is legit where I learned about the Negro Leagues! Like this here blew my dang mind! I miss this kind of television 😮‍💨

The Famous Jett Jackson (1998–2001)

Created by Fracaswell Hyman, the series follows Jett Jackson, a teenage TV star balancing life as the lead of a hit action show while also trying to stay grounded in his hometown.

Combining behind-the-scenes Hollywood with everyday teen life, it offered a unique dual-world perspective rarely seen on kids’ TV.

And it made me, a shy Black kid from North Carolina, realize that i could be a movie star 🥹

A staple of Black television history, The Famous Jett Jackson gave audiences a young Black lead navigating fame, identity, and normalcy without losing who he was. And it also displayed Black success, family, and ambition in a layered, aspirational way.
