My name is Brandon, and I’m living with a rare, painful, and debilitating condition called arachnoiditis. It’s a chronic inflammation of the spinal cord that causes severe nerve pain, muscle weakness, and mobility challenges. There’s no cure, but with the right treatments, I can manage my pain, improve my function, and reclaim parts of my life that this disease has taken away.
Right now, my days are filled with constant burning, stabbing pain, and difficulty moving around. Simple things most people take for granted—walking, sleeping, sitting—are a daily struggle. The treatments that could help me are specialized and expensive, and they aren’t fully covered by insurance.
