I had the best session on Sunday afternoon! Right as we pulled into our location, rain started falling! We had to take several breaks and sit in our cars to wait it out, but we still ended up with the best time and these photos give me the storybook feels! 🥰

Parents of 2023 Seniors...this message is for you!! :)

I can't tell you how many messages I get each spring from panicking parents who are realizing their child is graduating in a few months and they don't have senior pics done yet! Trying to schedule your child's senior pics in the middle of the crazy last few months of their school year is a nightmare! They have so many events to attend, most of them also have job schedules to work around...and then add in the photographers packed schedules! It adds in yet another stress in a very busy season of life. What could be a very fun event turns into a rushed and not so enjoyable time for the senior and their parent!

Do yourself a favor and get your photos booked NOW! Get their photos taken this summer when they have more free time and are still excited and anticipating their senior year...and not exhausted and suffering from Senioritis! Lol! It is also helpful to have nice pictures to choose from throughout the year when people start needing you to submit photos for different events, yearbooks, etc.

I love getting people to interact with each other in their photos. It's so fun to capture people truly enjoying each other and getting them to forget they are taking a picture for a minute! Some clients you just know are going to be willing to get messy with you...and I knew Amber was the right gal to suggest a mud fight to! I going to overshare a ton of their pics, because I absolutely loved shooting this session and it's as plain as the mud on their faces how big this family loves!

Have you done your Mother's Day shopping?! I promise you the gift of a photo session is one that ANY mother would appreciate! Most family shoots are set up by the matriarch of the family and attended begrudgingly by the rest of the family. ;)

Surprise your Mom by setting up a photo shoot yourself! Send me a message to get a gift certificate and a date on the books! I'll take care of capturing the memories...you just show up to the shoot with your family and and an enthusiastic attitude and shower your Mama with love and gratitude! I want to say thank you to everyone who trusted me with their photos this year!

It was a fantastic year and you were all a huge blessing to me! I scheduled myself to take a break during most of the month of December because I never want this time with my family to take a backseat and I am enjoying every second of it!

Looking forward to sessions next year, and continuing to grow and learn and have fun with you guys! So many of you blessed me with extra this year and it was so humbling, I've really enjoyed getting to pass some of that love on! I truly hope your photos will bless you for a lifetime! Thank you so much for making this year in photography such an incredible one. ❤

Our family is big and loud...and this session of another one of my big sister's family was no exception! It actually had nothing to do with Nicolet's family...it was more about the 3 dogs who joined us, the 10 cousins who were loudly watching, the freezing cold wind, and trying not to get shocked by the electric fence! 🥴😂But seriously...it really is a joy to edit pictures of people you love so much!

Aren't they so beautiful? You would never know that some of those smiles were because the photographer was screaming at the hyper dogs like a crazy lady! 🤪

Moral of this story...get your family pictures taken!! It is ALWAYS worth the chaos and we all made some hilarious memories during this session!

I did a quick session of my big sister's family during our Thanksgiving gathering the last weekend. My nephews are the world's WORST photo takers! Lol! Taking photos of these giant goofballs feels like taking pictures of 2 year old quadruplets after an ice cream party! You cannot even imagine how many ridiculous faces and poses can be made in 60 seconds! 🙄 It's a good thing I am their FAVORITE aunt and I still love them! ;)

But seriously, it's good to have fun while you're taking pictures! Don't get too worked up with your kids because the memories you'll love the most will be the ones where their true personalities are shining through! Don't worry...I'll step in and yell at them if they really need it! ;)

Enjoy these photos of my nephews doing their best cheerleading moves (that literally NO ONE asked them to do)...and then keep going to see a few pics of them trying harder to act their age! :)
