If you’re unsure about if you want to go back outside for more photos during your cocktail hour or reception, here are 4 reasons I’d say HECK YES:

1. On your wedding day, your guests are going to be pulling you in so many different directions. This is another opportunity for the bride and groom to spend some intimate 1:1 time together (with your content team of course)

2. The lighting during a sunset is usually so dreamy. So while the sky may feature some vibrant coloring, it’s also even lighting that makes everyone look their best in photos (we’ve all been there when we say “omg the lighting is so good” when we find good lighting for a selfie)

3. If you’re doing a first look, you will find that a lot of your photos are taken in one chunk of the day or if not, your photos are pretty rushed during cocktail hour. Planning for golden hour photos gives you a chance to step away from the camera, regroup, and then be excited to take more photos.

4. If you need another reason, ask any wedding photographer or videographer. They’ll often tell you that sunset portraits are usually the most breathtaking photos of the day!

My first time working with Dominique + Kevin is a perfect reminder for why engagement sessions matter so much.

From providing a wide variety of location recommendations to the day of the session, frolicking in the fields, and getting to know each other through the process, this session really set the foundation for how we’d work together. By the end, it felt less like “photos” and more like friends hanging out, with a few dinner recommendations to turn it into the perfect date night. This time together set us up for huge success when it came to their wedding day.

So grateful for sessions that turn into genuine connection 🤍

2025 was a special year for the Grzywinskis. Just when you think it doesn’t get any better, you find yourself bringing a baby girl into the world with your soulmate.

A little peek into Dominique and Kevin's wedding day. The Proulxs selected their nearest and dearest friends and family to join them for an intimate gathering to celebrate their marriage. From Dominique getting ready in her childhood bedroom to her and her new husband, Kevin, saving their final song for a private last dance followed by a sparkler send off, these are just a few of the most special moments that these two will forever remember from their wedding day ❤️

The Kernaghans had their wedding day with the most beautiful fall weather, shared their personal vows in front of their family and friends, incorporated their precious son every chance they could, and even were graced with a rainbow without a drop of rain in the sky.

Maria + Rob, I hope you both had the best wedding day and will always smile with tears in your eyes reminiscing on the day you said "I do" to a lifetime together. Congratulations!

Deja + Kyle tied the knot on the Long Island beachfront. It was such an honor to travel out to New York to celebrate you two and your love built from game nights, theme parks, quality time with friends and family, and maybe a hint of sarcasm 😉

Currently reliving Nicole + Pat's wedding day and man does time fly....

It feels like yesterday when the Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl and hosted their second parade in the city just 24 hours before the Walshes hosted their nearest and dearest to celebrate them becoming one. We even were graced with a tiny bit of snow for a dreamy winter wedding ❄️
