I just finished my second week in a new full-time position as a Marketing Specialist, and I’m really excited about this new chapter.

One of the things I’m most looking forward to is having the freedom to be more intentional with my photography and creative work. I want to spend more time creating for myself, pursuing my own art and working on projects that I’m genuinely excited about.

So, what does that mean for my clients?

I’m still here and still taking on photography and design work, but my availability and services will be more limited moving forward. I’ll be taking on fewer projects and being a little more selective with what I add to my schedule.

My business isn’t going anywhere, I’m just giving myself more room to create, experiment and see where my own work takes me.

Tonight I was honored to photograph the Wōrak Horak Youth Organization Showcase. I spent the summer mentoring our Summer Youth Workers and watching everything come together tonight was amazing! I cried watching their videos and so proud.
I’m especially proud of Jordana Renee Bass. She has built this program into what is today, and I love her vision and her dedication to our tribal community and for our youth.
Big shout out to our Summer Youth Workers, I enjoyed working with them this year and so proud of their hard work.
Thank you to all who contributed to the program, everything turned out so good.

On Thursday, I had the honor of photographing the recognition ceremony for Nebraska Legislative Bill 1032. It was a powerful day to witness.

LB 1032 officially recognizes tribal customary adoptions under the Nebraska Indian Child Welfare Act, helping Native children remain connected to their families, communities, and cultures while honoring Tribal traditions.

It was inspiring to see Nebraska’s four federally recognized Tribes come together alongside state leaders, including Senator Wendy DeBoer, whose leadership helped make this legislation possible.

I’m grateful to have been trusted to document such an important moment in history. Thank you to those who recommended and for the collaboration with Nebraska Appleseed.
