June 11, 2026 — High-octane racing meets a deeply personal community tribute this weekend as Capeway Rovers MX hosts Round 4 of the Quadcross New England LLC Championship. The two-day event, running Saturday, June 13, and Sunday, June 14, doubles as the 4th Annual Morandi Family Memorial Race—a weekend of heavy competition, rigid track rules, and a massive community effort raising funds for the Massachusetts Motorcycle Survivors Fund.
The event is held in loving memory of Stephen (1964–2022) and Loretta Morandi. The Morandi family will host a booth all weekend long, featuring a raffle, a benefit bake sale, "Check Twice - Save A Life" signs, memory stickers, and pre-orders for SMP apparel.
Riders and fans can tune their radios to 96.5FM to catch all the track announcements and live racing action. The event kicks off Friday, June 12, with the entrance gate open from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.. There are no Friday sign-ups at the track.
On Saturday, June 13, and Sunday, June 14, gates open early at 6:30 a.m.. Organizers strictly emphasize that attendees must not block the entrance gate. Early morning arrivals are required to park on the right side of the entrance roadway and wait for the gate to reopen.
On-site amenities include an air-conditioned and heated eat-in restaurant serving a breakfast and lunch menu both days, alongside permanent restroom facilities.
A gate fee of $25 per person covers the entire weekend, and children aged 3 and under are admitted free.
All racers must provide proof of medical insurance to ride at Capeway Rovers; participation is completely barred without it. For youth riders, a minor waiver and temporary guardianship policy must be completed for both Capeway and QXNE. Both the parent/guardian and youth rider must be present with their wristbands on at the time of registration.
• Saturday Practice Sign-up: 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.
• Saturday Race Sign-up: 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
• Sunday Race Sign-up: 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the sign-up building.
Saturday practice runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a fee of $50, and no QXNE membership is required for the Saturday sessions. Practice sessions run for approximately 10 minutes across six rotating class groups.
At noon on Saturday, a slow Morandi Family Memorial Parade Lap will take place just prior to a special 20-minute, Pro-only practice session. All registered riders are encouraged to participate in the tribute. Race machine tech inspection will be open from noon to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday at the QXNE tent. A mandatory riders' meeting will follow at approximately 3:30 p.m. at the bleachers.
Sunday morning practice begins at 9 a.m. following the same group order as Saturday, with each group receiving two laps. Sunday practice is included in the race entry fee, but a QXNE membership is required for Sunday morning practice and all Sunday racing. Full-season and single-event QXNE memberships will be available at the track and must be purchased before signing up to race.
Racing begins immediately after Sunday practice concludes, at approximately 10 a.m. Entry fees are $50 for standard classes and $100 for the ATV Pro, SXS Pro, and Pro-Am classes.
Local girls and women continue to prove they can dominate the track. Lakeville's Lilly Burch is a top local competitor to watch this weekend. Burch currently holds 1st place in the Women's Class and 4th place in Youth Modified. She is slated to run in the Women's division along with an additional class to be announced.
